I've uploaded everything I had and now everyone should be able to use Cabonite as their skin if they so choose. Just head over to http://www.staredit.net/?p=settings to change it.
If anyone comes across any weird bugs or needed fixes, let me know here. I do know there's some issue with the menu in Chrome where the "Site" and "Favorites" tab lower a few pixels on hover, but that issue doesn't exist on Firefox. Hopefully DJC will know how to fix that.
Good to see that progress is being made, even if it's not a skin that I'd personally use. I'm sure some people will be glad to have it back!
By the way, what's up with the return of Augustgrad? There was some talk about it coming back in late August/early September, but only silence recently. And that's one I would use...
That I have no idea about. Apos is still working on it, I think, but I'm not sure if he finished it. As I recall I think he needed someone to upload it for him after Devourer left, so if that's the case I can get it loaded as soon as he sends it to me.
Feels just like old carbonite. I don't mind it too much, but as a default skin like payne suggested in the shoutbox? Not sure about that, the green is what makes SEN feel like home. Now, all we need is the red skin back and we'll be back in business!
Yeah, I think we're fine with Turtle as the default. I'm on and off working on a completely new skin based on the now dead StarEdit.tv project (dead because Devourer quit and no one else can code it), but I can try to do an Epic Red or redo Epic Purple.

I fucking love you Devlin. Ahhh, the blessing of fixed-width goodness. However, the icon at the top...is it supposed to be old SEN's, or was that forgotten when remaking?

Which icon? The only think I changed on the header is the Marine and the 5.0 to 5.1.
Yeah, I mentioned that in the OP. For some reason it looks messed up in Chrome, but it looks fine in Firefox. My hope is that it's just a CSS issue that David can fix eventually.

Well, if Carbonite is supposed to have the "Site" and "Favorites" links drop down and left about 5 pixels on hovering, remain there after you move your cursor off of the dropdown menu, then raise back up and to the right to its original spot as you mouse over where the dropdown is again, then ignore me. If not, then don't.
If you need me to, I can make a video but I deleted all of the capture software off of my computer, so I'd rather just make 3 or 4 pictures, if you need me to give evidence at all. Oh, and try it out on other browsers, I only use Chrome.
Actually, upon page loading, they are at that spot about 5 pixels down and left of their proper placement. Upon mousing over the main header it raises and shifts them into the slot they're supposed to be in, then does what I said above.
I'm confused, are you not reading what I'm saying? I keep saying that this is only an issue with Chrome. It looks perfect in at least Firefox. The CSS doesn't change the text's position on hover at all, hence why I keep saying I'd hope DJC can look at it.

I'm reading you, but your earlier post made it sound like the Games gap was mentioned, when it wasn't. And I'm just providing more information on a particular bug, I didn't realize that that was a problem. I even went to the trouble of making a video:
Although I don't see why I should even post this, because providing info just gets people madder at me.
God damn! This sexy carbonite changes SEN from a lame turtle skinned site with a few downloads to a sexy forum with a still a few downloads! The changes are sexy and it makes me feel like typing the text in blue to match Carbonite's colour scheme. (Screw you, colour is Canadian spelling for color!)
Now how long before we have a 3D skin? (Quirky comment in regards to that 3D phase which will probably die before Christmas comes and be reborn five years later.)

A couple forums are massively disfigured. For example: Serious Discussion and SCI Contestes. These occur where the header is stretched by the description/quick rules of the forum. I don't know if you can do anything about this short of removing the text.
EDIT: Redoing forum display icons.

DarkenedFantasies -- Probably just didn't care. For example, at some point before release, they've updated the graphics of some of the Protoss buildings (Forge, CyberCore, Citadel, Observatory, Arbiter Tribunal), but instead of properly re-rendering them with edited 3D models, they did crappy copy-paste jobs on the rendered graphics.
Ultraviolet -- I suppose we'll likely never know, but my guess would be that they already saw it operating successfully and there was no monetary incentive to finish the original work. And the dev cycle in old school Blizzard was so hectic, it's possible it just got forgotten about after the original game got released. Plus there's an element of existing MPQ files that were packaged with the original discs becoming outdated if they updated it. And it's not like they remade the original MPQs, they just made new ones for BW specifically

Oh_Man -- so that makes me think maybe the theory they are unfinished is not true and its a deliberate design decision, coz why not finish them wen ur making brood war?
[2026-6-21. : 4:25 am]
Oh_Man -- the thing is thos buildings are from classic. that means they went ahead and made brood war without ever finishing the 'unfinished' buildings

Ultraviolet -- Yeah he's talked about a lot of that stuff in his casts before. It seems plausible. Especially knowing how Blizzard of yesteryear operated.

NudeRaider -- to clarify: couldn't recall the behavior for every single Protoss building but I was aware the disparity exists.

NudeRaider -- Contained nothing new for me. Didn't know all building's behavior, but very much all unit's. Also Terran balance whine - also nothing new

Oh_Man -- makes me wonder if SEN knows anything about the topic
