But it figures you're cheering for a team that bragged very unsportsmanlike about their illegal action to reach the quarterfinals.

I don't know why everyone is hating on that play. That was an awesome move by Suarez. It was ridiculously smart and he completely saved the game. There was nothing wrong with it. Suarez gave Uruguay a chance to win it, and Ghana completely choked on the game winning PK and in the shootout. And Abreu's winning PK was awesome too.

And Uruguay suffered from Suarez's absence today.

Well the thing is, in the heat of the game it's understandable that it happens. May even have done the same. Still the move was against the rules so it's very dickish to brag around with it. They were lucky to win, and only did so by breaking the rules and because Ghana screwed it up.
So in their place they should be very humble and grateful. You not realizing this, fits the attitude you show here, as I've already said.

You can't push all 90 minutes of a game. Your stamina will break down and you'll give your opponent very good chances for counters.

It was a great tactical play. It's like saying it's shameful that a basketball team won a game by constantly fouling the other team to stop the clock so that they could score points. There's nothing wrong with that. ;O

They were playing by the rules. You want to handball in the box? Well then you suffer the consequences, and Uruguay did, straight red and a penalty kick.

Also, no one was bragging, I don't know what you're talking about. However, Uruguay won the game to make it to the semifinals. It doesn't matter how they did it, the victory deserves to be celebrated.

For one I didn't like the play, but I can't argue that it was wrong. Suarez did what he thought was best and in that situation, he had to stop that goal. Ghana really deserved to win, they played a good game, but shit happens in every sport.

It's like that video of a cyclist who raised his hands in a sign of victory like all cyclists do and he fell. The guy in second place passed him and he won the race. Rules are rules and you gotta go till the last second. There is always that slight chance that something could happen, Suarez was that something.

Uruguay was the better team anyway.

Netherlands is gunna win the cup.

First off Germany didn't suck. Actually we were a little worse than in our Argentina or England games but credit really goes to Spain who managed to prevent us from getting into our usual play with their superior ball control.
So secondly Spain didn't suck either. In fact they had their best game of this world cup. Too bad it had to be versus us, but eh, they knew it's all or nothing that game, so congrats to them.
However I can understand people saying it was an "awful match" since it was a pretty boring game because both defenses did a good job and didn't allow for many shots on the goals.

So all there is left for us is the game vs. Uruguay where will show that we still can play good football.

I thought Netherlands to be better than Spain before the last game where Spain has shown their true potential. So I'm not so sure anymore. Netherlands has excellent team play but they are often predictable while Spain has a lot of high classed players and superior ball control, but can get nervous when they're not leading or even are behind, so we'll see.

I think Spain will win, will be very close, though.

Spain betta win. My sister is in Spain. I don't want her to die in a rant if they lose.
