This is a bigger beast than previously thought because I keep finding more locations/buildings/death-counters that need to be added separately for both teams. I'll keep working on it for a few more hours tonight, but I can't say I'll finish. Tommorow though... tomorrow definitely... (0 failed release dates, I wonder if blizzard feels as bad as I do when they do this)

I secretly think that Blizzard tells themselves they'll finish SC2 tomorrow every single day... they just set the release date to give themselves motivation.

Multi-select will make ts much more fair, not to mention the end to noobs whining about matchup.

So, theres no more counter picking. Man, so many people get pissed off when they rush to pick their best and get mad when people counter them. Also, is there going to be a choice for all random? Because anyone could pick without the other team knowing.

There's no such thing as counter picking. People have no idea how to make solid teams and do the most noob team combos like rine, ling, warrior then cry when the other team pick a hero that counters all three. The team who picks first has an advantage but multi-select will take that away and enforce counter picking because there's no punishment for picking last anymore. Don't even mention the random beacon, all it does is ruin games.

I was under the impression that the picking areas would be seperate and not viewable by the opposing team. That would destroy countering because you can't tell what the other team chose till the game starts.

That is just dumb and ruins a big strategic element. Basing game off chance matchup is silly. People need to see what others pick and analyze what the best combo to counter is.

What Fashioned said about counters is correct too. Noob combos like rine, ling, war are easily beatable.

Early Thursday morning I am goin to a big wedding and won't be back again until late sunday. So I won't be able to fix bugs until then, so post them up.

As far as progress goes, I can see that there won't be a public release until I get back(I don't want this to fail like 1.5 did), there's just so much shit that has to be done. Instead I'd like to do a closed release and PM as much as I have done to people that ask for it in this thread, and I ask that they don't host it on the pub list. You can play with other ts'ers that don't have it, but tell them not to host it publicly, only private games.

So just make a post saying you want it, and I'll pm it to you as soon as I feel like it's playable. That time will be either late tonight, or some time tomorrow.

Fair enough, I'd like to test it, I won't spread it to pubs guarantee.

Yea 1.5 has been in beta for almost 2 years now.
