Players: Up to 7. Recommended: Probably 7...

Hopelessly Random D is a combat Defence map. The computer player will invade and attack the players and attempt to kill the central building on the map, the Castle. If this building dies, the team loses.

The big spikey thing is the Castle.

This D is different from others in that the player has very limited choice in how to build units. Each player has a starting external base that protects the outer areas and a Mineral Generator (explained later). Each player also has an Armory - this is where units are built. Here's how.

Upgrading Vehicle Weapons (hotkey W) - Cost 500 Minerals, 1 in 8 chance each of receiving 5 Firebats, Marines, Vultures, Medics, Zealots, Dragoons, Zerglings, or Hydralisks.
Upgrading Ship Weapons (hotkey S) - Cost 500 Minerals, 1 in 16 chance each of receiving a Wraith, Valkyrie, Tank, Goliath, Lurker, Mutalisk, Scourge, Queen, Infested Terran, High Templar, Dark Templar, Archon, Dark Archon, Scout, Corsair, or Reaver.
Upgrading Vehicle Plating (hotkey P) - Cost 1500 Minerals, 1 in 8 chance each of receiving a Carrier, Arbiter, BattleCruiser, Ghost, Defiler, Guardian, Ultralisk, or Devourer.
Upgrading Ship Plating (hotkey H) - Cost 1000 Minerals, 1 in 8 chance each of receiving 3 Probes, Drones, SCVs, Observers, Overlords, Science Vessels, Shuttles, or Dropships.

Units purchased will spawn at a player's external base initially, and if the player's Mineral Generator is destroyed, units will spawn at the player's flag in the middle near the Castle.

The computer player will likewise spawn random units from a set of 32. The units will attack as soon as they spawn. Think it's easy to beat one unit at a time? Think again. Every 3 minutes, a new "level" will start. At each level, enemy units will spawn faster. Fast enough that I've never been able to win, but I've been able to last till the timer ran out. If you somehow manage to win, be sure to take a picture! Enemy units will decrease in spawn proportional to the number of players in the game.

The enemy units will attack from 8 sides. This includes the bottom, where there exists no corresponding human player to defend. The team will have to donate units to keep the south side intact. Long-range units, such as Carriers, Guardians, Reavers, and Tanks, will make things very troublesome.

Each unit that the enemy Computer spawns has a Mineral value allocated to it. When that unit spawns, every player on the team will get that mineral value. Each Mineral Generator that exists on the team will add an additional 3 minerals per unit - very useful if the enemy spawns weak or useless units.

Simply survive to the end of the timer, and then defeat what's left of the computer units, if you can. Up to the challenge?

Some pics for you. Enjoy the game!

The Northern Base.

A last minute-assault to save the middle. It didn't work.

Putting up a valiant fight against Blue in the middle.

What the middle looks like when the game starts. This is where your Armory is.

Academies will turn into Bunkers when they finish building.

Vrael -- It is, and I could definitely use a company with a commitment to flexibility, quality, and customer satisfaction to provide effective solutions to dampness and humidity in my urban environment.

Vrael shouted: Idk, I was looking more for a dehumidifer company which maybe stands out as a beacon of relief amidst damp and unpredictable climates of bustling metropolises. Not sure Amazon qualifies
sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city

Vrael -- Maybe here on the StarEdit Network I could look through the Forums for some Introductions to people who care about the Topics of Dehumidifiers and Carpet Cleaning?
