Introduction:
Marine defense, Sunken defense, Hydra defense, Tank defense, Goliath defense, Cannon defense, Bunker defense, look at all these classic maps. But there's just one problem with them: they all follow the same theme, the only difference being different units/buildings per map! You make a formation and let the enemies run through it. Well Scarab Defense hopes to change that. Using an innovative game-play style, this map will definitely have you clinging to remaking when some idiot leaks even one unit!
Game-play
This is a FOUR, and only four player map. If you have 3 or fewer players, their spawns will still spawn, so you NEED four since it's impossible to cover for them unlike in Marine Defense where one person can cover 2 spawns.
You have a shuttle with 5 units: Build normal sentry, build multi-shot sentry, build rapid sentry, Emergency Launch, and Go Observer Mode. The sentries' effects should be self-explanatory:
Normal Sentry: 1 shot periodically.
Multi-shot Sentry: 5 shots periodically (takes longer than normal by a little bit)
Rapid Sentry: 1 shot every second
Emergency Launch will set the timer for all your sentries to 0 so they can immediately fire when you're about to lose. More launches can be purchased at the credit area.
You receive a credit for every 10-20 kills.
Go Observer Mode is only available in the first 3 seconds of the map. After 3 seconds of game-time, it'll go away, so if you want to observe, quickly unload it!
*If you go observer mode, your spawn will NOT spawn enemies, unlike when there is a lack of players to begin with, their spawns will still create enemies.
Turning sentry notification on/off basically displays/stops displaying how many sentries you have left.

UPDATE:
5/9/10 - v1.3
-reduced level 14 zergling life from 900 to 500
-reduced level 15 infested terran life from 1100 to 775
-turned level 21 vultures into speed vultures
-made rapid sentries fire every 2 seconds instead of every second
-your mineral return when buying minerals now increases at certain increments (ex. 5 minerals for the first 4 buys, then 9 for the next 4-5 buys...)
-fixed the inaccurate credit awarding system, which was using death counters. It now uses "kills at least 10...20...30..." triggers. Goes up to 700 kills. 21 levels * 20 units = 420, so you'd have to steal a lot of your team's kills in order to even get near the max.
-you now buy 3 normal sentries per credit instead of 2
-fixed a trigger mistake which gave player 4 unlimited credits
