SInce I switched to Windows 7 I can't log on battle.net Everytime I try to I receive this message: "Battle.net was unable to properly identify your application version. Please uninstall or reinstall the application. If the problem persists you may have a computer virus. For information on detecting and removing this virus you may contact us by email at support@blizzard.com

Notes:
*When I was using Vista that thing happened often but I just close SC and enter again, and I'm able to play.
*I already reinstalled twice.
*I already tried run as admin.
*I already checked my firewall.
*My computer does full virus scans on saturdays, and he found nothing for now.
*I already scanned the entire SC folder to search for that damn "supposed" virus. :flamer:

Any ideas? I'm waiting for help, thanks.

Are you sure Starcraft is always in the foreground and fullscreen? Logon will fail if Starcraft is minimized or in any other state. Try closing every process and then running Starcraft. (It's obvious that it's not a virus, which is the least-likely case)

Thanks, man! With all the aero stuff from windows, closing explorer.exe solved the problem. By the way, it also solves the "color messup" that happens since I bought this computer.

My computer has been experiencing gradual malfunctions and strange digital oddities over time as of recently, and now on occasion my computer screen will be covered with green and pinkish-purple tiled squares. I had little problem with this up until now, and the error/glitch/bug has stopped allowing me to log onto Starcraft. I get the error message "Battle.net was unable to properly identify your application version. Please uninstall and then reinstall the application. If the problem persists then you may have a computer virus, For information on detecting and removing this virus you may contact us by email at support@blizzard.com". After an indeterminable amout of time (anywhere between 30 minutes to several days) the squares will go away and i can log back onto starcraft, and sometimes i can log onto starcraft even when the squares are there. Is there something I can do or move, add, or MOD to fix this problem of mine? I was thinking maybe i could mod it to ignore version check, but i have no idea about modding or anything like it. If screenshots are desired i will post them. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I have tried the obvious: Reinstalling (Many times) and restarting my computer.
This is a post from my first topic, does this sound anything like yours?

Try the solution I mentioned in my previous post. If that doesn't work, then could you at least post a screenshot with said squares?

That was on my old computer, I have a new one now, but it would be nice to get the clunker working well again.

See: This. It's the old topic where I was discussing it.

Did I mention that it's XP?

This file has a utility called wLoader which has the option to kill Explorer.exe after running.

It is also an antihack of korean origins, by the way. I don't know if it works though - I've seen people post v1.0.5 instead of v2.0.8 for some reason. But the loader is what matters in this case.
