My computer has been experiencing gradual malfunctions and strange digital oddities over time as of recently, and now on occasion my computer screen will be covered with green and pinkish-purple tiled squares. I had little problem with this up until now, and the error/glitch/bug has stopped allowing me to log onto Starcraft. I get the error message "Battle.net was unable to properly identify your application version. Please uninstall and then reinstall the application. If the problem persists then you may have a computer virus, For information on detecting and removing this virus you may contact us by email at support@blizzard.com". After an indeterminable amout of time (anywhere between 30 minutes to several days) the squares will go away and i can log back onto starcraft, and sometimes i can log onto starcraft even when the squares are there. Is there something I can do or move, add, or MOD to fix this problem of mine? I was thinking maybe i could mod it to ignore version check, but i have no idea about modding or anything like it. If screenshots are desired i will post them. Thanks in advance.
Edit: I have tried the obvious: Reinstalling (Many times) and restarting my computer.

My guess is that you do have a virus preventing your connection to b.net.
No mod will ever bypass the version check of battle.net in fact I dare to say that not even a hack would.

When this problem happens can you still play starcraft on single player?

For some raisin i can't get it to show the image but the link to it is: This. Yes i can play on single player. The boxes look different on starcraft though because sc uses a different resolution. Also when i drag stuff across the boxes the thing i am dragging changes colors. Somehow i doubt this is a virus but idk. It seems more like a video problem.

Video card malfunction maybe? In that case, you'd need to replace.

Already ahead of ya, I just ordered a new computer (GREAT DEAL TOO!!!). $699 for this computer. Click it it's a great deal XDDD. I had been lookin for a new computer and this is just what i wanted.

This is how I figure it. If someone thinks that they can bring that down to $350, be my guest. I want to see it happen. His is not a good deal, but it's decent. I got a refurbished Dell PC for the same price, though, and it more than doubles most important specs (6GB DDR3, and I don't even care that it's not worth it, it's so shiny!), with the exception being video card. Which the one I already have makes nicer.

When you tallied up that money u seemed to forget the software that it comes with (ie:FRAPS) and other things apparently as well. Incase you didnt know, FRAPS i am reletively certain is a screen recorder type program, so u can record gameplay and the like as u play your videogames. (Epic). I feel that i really did get a good deal regardless of what u guys did, and i hope it comes in soon >.<

FRAPS doesn't make it a good deal. I don't care what software it has on it, it does not constitute a deal.

Jesus christ I thought that I was fucked in the head when it came to computers, that deal is just a ripoff cause it has the crysis name on it.

Hell that thing you just bought might not even be ABLE to play crysis and its expansion on higher graphics settings, while my 375$ computer can.
