Got the Psionic Shockwave by level 3 or 4. Psi Storm was basically useless, and with the number of attack/move speed upgrades one could get, Stims I didn't care for, because I wanted minerals and often had to run straight through huge mobs, cloak was useless, Mines I tried once and didn't like and I'm assuming their damage is static, so with Shockwave's damage output were useless - on the other hand, since medkits grow proportionally more effective as one upgrades health, and health increasingly important as mobs grow more difficult to kill before minerals disappear...
Also the boss was pretty useless. :P I used the Shockwave on him since I had it, but I tried out the Glaive Worms and Machine Gun just to see how they'd work - his health was draining slower, but mine remained untouched.

Though honestly, I kind'f dislike how the Psionic Shockwave is basically so powerful that there's no reason to do anything but rush to get it as soon as possible.

i haven't cleaned the hiscore yet, because in each version so far, a higher score have been more likely\easier than in the last, but its likely i will clean it for the next one, because it seems i should make the boss harder, and the weapon upgrades more expensive ;)
there will probably also be a new weapon between the rockets and the shockwave.

the shockwave deals splash damage to each enemy it hits, so if you hit 2 mutas together you are more likely to kill them both than if you are shooting against just 1, to kill just one enemy, rockets are better.

Healthpacks are a must buy, the other items might be more or less just for fun, i will make them a bit better somehow.

Hello

... you seriously have to fix the "unplacement" of minerals over water... it sort of can defeat you as you need the upgrades for the next level. Just let it spawn over water as you mostly should be able to reach them by your attracting area.

i know you are all waiting for the research to become available, here i have the current ideas, everything is still open to balancing, completely changing or getting removed:

research:
30: Crystalize - minerals stay there longer
40: Remedy - restore your health after each level
50: Magnetize - easier collection of minerals
60: Bounty hunter - Gain 1 additional mineral for each kill
70: Dominion - Battlecruisers will aid you from time to time
80: Bullet time - everything goes slower while you fire and faster while you don't
90: Royal Assassin - Gain 5 additional points for each kill
100: Nobility - increases score by 5% after each level
200: Inferno - greatly increases damage dealt by weapon 4+ and spider mines
400: xel'naga transformation - Become Tassadar with greatly increased storm damage and energy refill

soon you will not just have storm but 3 different abilities that change with E, R and F (ensnare and nuke perhaps)

These are the ones that I'm doubting.
40 - increase price if you include this one

80 - Change it to everything slower when health is under 25% or something like that.

100 - score increases like that aren't very beneficial.

400 - If you do something with changing units, I'd make it so that way you could have a choice of 3-5 arenas and 2-3 units at the beginning of a game, with high scores based on arena and showing used unit, but then again there is the word goliath in the game title, so don't include it.

I've updated the latest version and I must say great job so far :) I'm still, however, surprised no one has requested a pause menu.

Also, I can still cheat by simply playing the first wave and getting a bit of money, going to the upgrades menu and click on an upgrade, search for it in cheat engine and click again then re-search using cheat engine to find the value then modify that value to 10,000 (or whatever). This works on all 3 upgrades.

Maybe you should consider checking for the cheat engine process and then alert the user by saying "Warning: Cheat Engine has been detected. Please close the application and restart the game."

its always possible to cheat somewhere by modifying the numbers used in the game :\ but i fixed so u can't cheat that easily on the upgrades

Special attack energy (Psionic Storm) is also an easy target for cheating at the moment. (whoo, 14129 points!)
And yes, I took the "harder to cheat" statement as a challenge. :P

Yes, great game, and you actually can pause the game by prssing ctrl+p . ctrl+s will mute it and in addition there is a cheat of 400 bonus ore are the beginning by pressing alt+f4 between the game has started and the first time the upgrade window appears.

Bug: The mineral counter in the upgrade menu only displays the last three digits of your mineral count.

Also... great. So now the final weapon costs more... but we get tons more minerals and don't even need to buy medkits anymore? :P
Eagerly awaiting the next weapon update so that there's no longer such a large gap between the last two weapons.
Personally, I think the final's pretty weird, anyways. Where the other weapons use (mostly) Starcraft graphics, the last just... sticks out. (Machine Gun bullets are small enough not to be so noticeable...)
And... now Kakulza is still bloody easy, only now you don't have to worry about taking a few stray shots and having to medkit, and, again, we get more minerals even not counting that, from those Mutalisks. ... >_>

Suggestion:
Researches that make lower level weapons useful. As it is, the only time I have ever switch weapons is to screw around because it's getting easy enough that I can safely do so.
Perhaps "Explosive rounds", which give the first two weapons increased damage and (player-friendly) splash. Level 1 rockets would be faster than level 4, and safer, but still overall weaker. Or one that allows Machine Gun shots to pierce targets (upto 4?).

Challenge modes, possibly with their own scoreboards, could be neat, too, though all I can think of is "Rockets only", "Glave only", "Machine gun only", etc.

yes, i should add some upgrades for the first weapons ;)

i don't think kakulza is that easy... but i see that the minerals amount really go up fast on the later levels, i will balance that with less and stronger enemies.

also, the items are better, the stimpack is a lot more powerful, really worth the 35 minerals, and the cloak might be a good idea instead of just healthpacks since it heals you a bit now :)

did you get over 999 minerals? theres only 3 digits on the menu, but the topright counter works fine, maybe i'll change it to 4 digits.
