Hi. I don't think you guys remember me, but well,
Guys, I'm a Korean.

And I have some problem with a sentence.
My friend and I, we discussed about a sentence what I writed.

He told me that sentence was full of wrong grammar.
Well, guys! I can't accept that. Will you guys make this right?

Determine who's wrong please!

The sentence written by me
: That reminded me that the stuffs you told me about before.

Edited one by me
: That reminded me of the stuffs you told me about before.

+ My friend told me that sentence is wrong.
He said this: 'The stuffs you told me about before' is a wrong sentence.
'The stuffs' can't be next to 'You'. Because they are all noun.

Who's right?

Edit: I wish you guys can fix my sentence if it's wrong.

The way that sounds most right to me is:
That reminded me of what you said before.

also it would be 'the stuff' not 'the stuffs'.

Back* from the grave

Also, try "That stuff reminds me of what you said before". There's no problem with two nouns being next to each other: "France's Eiffel Tower is a big pyramid" is a correct sentence, with two nouns next to each other.

Well, in the sentence "France's Eiffel Tower is a big pyramid" the word France is an adjective.

Also try just "That reminds me of what you said before"

Just Here For The Pie

Seeing as you and your friend are both so inclined to pluralize the word 'stuff', why not use the word 'thing'?

Saying, "things" is more common in the English language as opposed to saying, "stuffs".

One can even say that 'stuffs' is not a proper word as 'stuff' on its own can mean more than one noun.

Follow-up, use either 'stuff' or 'things', but do not use the word 'stuffs'.

No, France is still a noun, it just is in a possessive form. France as an adjective is french.
Example: This french food is delicious.

My friend and I, we discussed about a sentence what I writed wrote.

The past tense of write is wrote.

Quote
The sentence written by me:
That reminded me that the stuffs you told me about before.

This is... Very hard for me to decipher. Let's split things up to make it easier.

"That reminded me..."
This part is fine; that is your subject, reminded is then the verb, and me is the direct object (you're the one doing the remembering).

"...that the stuffs..."
This is where things fall apart. While stuffs is an actual word, I highly suggest it be changed to things. Stuff is a word considered improper for all but the most informal talk. The real problem here though is that this is trying to be a prepositional phrase... Without the preposition. That is not a preposition, so it will have to be changed to one. I suggest of.

"...you told me about before."
This looks fine to me.

So the whole thing should read:
That reminded me of the things you told me about before.

I do, in fact. You made that one video with all the 'La's.

No, France is still a noun, it just is in a possessive form.
Making it an adjective.

The plural of 'stuff' is still 'stuff'; in fact I think stuff is inherently plural. I might be wrong.

It's an uncountable noun, i.e. it does not refer to a unit, but rather an indiscrete value.
Compare with "water" and "sand". "How many water/How many sand", or "How much water/How much sand"?

"The stuffs" is incorrect, stuff is an uncountable noun.
"The stuff you told me about before" has an implied "that" in between "stuff" and "you." If you wanted to be a pedant, you would write "The stuff that you told me about before" or "The stuff which you told me about before."

"that" is often ommited in informal speech

Also, in formal English, a phrase may never end with a preposition, so it should read "...the stuff about which you told me before".

"That reminded me of the stuffs you told me about before." is almost otherwise correct, but as said before 'stuff' is an uncountable noun, so does not have a plural form.

Thus, "That reminded me of the stuff you told me about before." is generally accepted as correct, but "That reminded me of the things about which you previously told me." might be a more formal way of stating it.

He said this: 'The stuffs you told me about before' is a wrong sentence.
'The stuffs' can't be next to 'You'. Because they are all noun.

Not sure if someone as already said this, but other than the word "stuffs", your first one is correct.

The problem with his reasoning is that they are actually two clauses in the sentence:
Quote
That reminded me of the stuffs you told me about before.

These are: "That reminded me of the stuff" and "You told me about before"
That reminded is the noun and verb, and You told is the noun and verb.

So you are correct, just fix stuffs ;)
