My recommendation: Open the map, find the room, and check it out, burrowed units mark areas that will move you back, especially focus on the terrain, because he used the same tile, there are certain markings on it that you can use to count how many spaces you've gone.

I just drew out the dots on a piece of paper and used that as a reference. Also, I find it impossible to run out of ethers and potions because the zerglings and broods could all be killed in one Z spell, and from those kills, you can receive a bunch of potions and ethers. My supply was at max after the final boss.

Edit: Also, the room above the fire orb room gives you a hint to the other room.

Yoshi...I tried shooting the infested with arrows on my first attempt at the boss. I ran outta arrows and mana.

Xero...I must get really unlucky. I was killing those enemies and not getting any potions whatsoever in the boss room. I was nearly out of both Ethers and Potions when I finally beat him...and that was me being conservative as hell with my items. My Z spell felt really underpowered...took 2-3 to kill Zerglings, more for Zealots, and I had the Z tablet.

I think I just suck at these types of games. But still, I enjoyed FM. :) Some things could've been improved here or there, but it was overall a great job.

If it's a single scourge, then shoot it with a bow. If there's a bunch, walk next to it, hold D, and walk away.

I never found the Z tablet, so my spell was somewhat cheaper than the upgraded one. The final boss took me a good 20 minutes? I lost track of time. I just know that by the end of the battle, I gained like 1k exp or something.

Well did you get the bow from the kraken first of all? And did you move the bow before you d-webbed?
Otherwise, explain :O

I liked it, very enjoyable. Though telling me to teleport to an enemy and then spawning more enemies was D:. But otherwise, it's a very good RPG. :P

no i got it and im in that room with the scourge and and the 2 neutral units blocking the doorway at the temple, however i cant move my bow becuz it seems to be stuck in the center of that square so wenever i click it away it jsut turns in the spot instead of heading towards my cursor

Try hitting the Infested Spirits with arrows :O

Why am I so bad at this? :(
The difficulty really depends on the person playing. Payne found it easy while others got stuck.
So the difficulty hasn't been changed since I played this?

Got stuck as in Driven insane by the Insane forest of Insanity...

i.e. wasn't difficult, just hard to find that damn exit for that damned forest, damn it

I finished it, I liked it. The story was a bit weak, and so was the dialogue sometimes, but besides that, the game-play was pretty good. I had so many ethers and potions though, yay for converting! The only puzzle I really didn't like was the one where you basically needed the path, I mean, that's just straight memorization. D: The last boss was a bit weak though, besides that fire move, I don't know why people had trouble with him lol. :P I had 8/8 by the end of it, and I only died once because using the bows and spells at the same time is a little funky. But the ending was kinda crummy to be honest, but sets it up I guess. Oh yeah, the forest wasn't bad, but the entrances were extremely hard to see (which may be on be purpose) and also raised jungle is so fricking annoying to tell when you can go up or not. D:

I really like the lightning effect in the forest of insanity. That was ingenous, even if it took me a while to figure it out. (Unless the dying dt's were rain, I thought it was lightning)

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

If anything, dying dts were from spells. Partly cloaked observers were raindrops. Ingenious btw.

This map really lived from its awesome ambiance (terrain, music, professionalism), the cool room idea and the EUD interface. Also liked the upgrade system.

Yes, story was weak, yes enemies were too easy with radiance (and too hard without it) but what really KILLED the map imo was the puzzles.
In the end there were no hints how to solve them. Either you got the right idea or you were done playing. REALLY annoying.
How on earth would you come up with dragging (and ripping off?) the Kraken's tentacles?! Or that you need to slow the reaver to remove a barricade?
But the worst was the invisible path part. It was so long and so narrow it was nearly impossible without aids. I ended up drawing the path ONTO MY MONITOR and still had to try 3 times until I got through.

Sorry Yoshi, as great as your map is, that was no fun.

Mini Guide for the hardest puzzles

* SPOILERS * Lol Nude, I agree on the puzzle things, the only ones that I felt really cheated me was the invisible path one and the marker ones. Though you were right on the power generator one, I kinda just fluked out on that and I thought you had to block the reaver into the generator. Though I do disagree with your Kraken comment, I thought it was a natural progression to try that after all those switches that looked eerily similar to a Kraken tentacle, but it doesn't really make any sense that you're strong enough to rip out a tentacle. Also, you realize you can kill the spirits at the end to reduce his shields? It lets you get 50 damage every time you get his shields down.

I think he means the EUD keys that you press for certain items. Like pressing "p" for potion or whatever.
