I thought the idea was interesting. Here's my attempt, but I gave up due being unable to figure out how to flawlessly handle multiple units coming down after dropping them without a computer per unit. As you'll see it screws up if you try it in the map.
I could just force only 1 unit coming down at a time but I think it hinders gameplay too much.
Oh yeah. Hold in space with your mouse over a unit to pick it up.

That was pretty good, even though I could kill them really fast by pressing space twice on the civilian. It follows the same idea as the real game.

. I'll probably try to follow up on that method ( if I can ). Well if I think about it some more, hopefully I can come up with a fix for it. Although, I will admit I've never used mobile grids.
EDIT: Stuff like that is something I would never be able to create...If I do continue it, it would be awhile, due to lack of knowledge about what you made.
