I didn't make the map, but I've been trying to beat it. It's linked here:
http://cid-681c2250300dd052.skydrive.live.com/self.aspx/Public/EndlessXI.scx

Basically, in the first 20-30 seconds of the map, 2-3 people will drop, and pretty consistently, but every once in a while I get a game where we can actually play and no one drops. I have NO IDEA what is causing this. First I thought it might be AI script overloads or something, so I changed the conditions on the AI script triggers in the map from "at least 1 seconds" to "at least 3, 5, and 7" seconds with no luck. I checked SEN's crash list and a few other old "Players drop" topics in UMS Assistance but nothing said there seem to apply to this map. Wtf?

I also heard that there is a trigger or something in this that prevents Mac users from playing it. Maybe that has something to do with it?

This also happens in impossible scenarios grandma.. It seems to happen in that map when player 1 moves his civilian right after the game starts.

No idea why, but it just does, and I seriously doubt the grandma imp has any desyncing EUD triggers ;)

I order you to forgive yourself!

This happened to me when I was hosting Defend the Hill. After the game started, we had to wait 45 seconds to drop the first person, then after that 3 more would drop. I thought it was caused by a drop hack because sometimes it wouldn't do that. Then I hosted an earlier version of the map and it didn't happen even once. Different people joined so I can't be sure.

That's the first thing I though of when I saw this post.

I'd delete all the triggers and see if the map works. Then, if it seems like it was one of the triggers causing that to happen, narrow it down by hosting the map with various triggers deleted. You'd need people with a lot of patience who'd want to help you test a map that they wouldn't get to play right, though.
Delete half of the triggers, then half of the ones that are suspicious still, then half of those, etc. No clue other than that on how to find the problem.

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

I was told in imp grandma it's the animated vespin cloud sprite which causes random drops.
Can't confirm that, but you could give it a try. Just delete all sprites.

sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city
