:payne:

I've done some explanations over "Brush" tool in the "Terrain" wiki. Go check it out :P
And yes, it includes anything that can be created in SCMD (Terrain/Units/Doodads/Sprites).
For Badlands buildings, I'd say it would be better to have:
1) The different parts of the buildings clearly identified that you can paste together as you want
2) A little building example (minimum size to show the blends)

And I'm glad that this actually helped many people out ^^

(lol@my downloads that have doubled so fast)

Just here for the pie

Zany, I already made a brush for Badlands buildings. I'm going to re-do the names eventually and do a tutorial on it for payne's terrain project.

How many buildings have you got though?
I haven't got access to SCMDraft ATM so I can't check.

Red classic.

Only the lighted kinds, not the abandoned-looking ones or anything else.

Exactly, I'll try the other ones. I finished some brushes Btw, I'll finish and upload em, once I work out how to do sprites only without terrain.

EDIT
Here they are, although IDK how to make them all one file, so there's four different files.

Due to the high amount of people that this have helped, but that had to be directed here because it is somewhat a "forgotten topic", I'd like to request this to get pin'd.
Anyone else support my request ?

I'd like to support this one.
Brushes seem so underused to me, and I'd like to see a full database of useful brushes available to all (Before SCII comes out).

I have a brush palette for jungle that I use pretty often. It might not make sense to you guys but I know where everything is.
The second file is part of a jungle terrain palette that I never finished. It was basically a tileset index, but it's a lot easier to cut and paste.

Has anyone thought of putting together some Space tileset brushes? I'm gonna need some stuff for my new RPG. If anyone intends to do it, please include some space-ship type sets, especially the inside workings of space ships. ^^

Thanks in advance.

I remember seeing a map with a lot of these.
It sounds a bit like Falk's style, but I'm really not sure. Look into the Terrain Hall of Fame, you should find the author and then send him a request PM ;o
Btw, I'm glad this topic helped you terraining (as I can read in your RPG's topic) ^^

... I am still waiting for this get sticky'd. It obviously helps a lot the community :|

Yeah, I'll take a look.

It hasn't really helped quite as much as all that, but I'm certainly hoping it'll help more.

It's pinned. Isn't that enough?

:payne:

I made the first topic a bit clearer ;)
I'd appreciate help from TheHowler to update the "Trees" brush :)
Also, guys, keep going and create moar brushes! We're still missing a lot of brushes from other Tilesets than Jungle and I cannot create them since I have no talent in other Tilesets :|

If possible, please make any new brush conform to the format I used for the "Trees" and "Stacked Cliffs".

:payne:

I just did the "Doodads" brush.
It contains probably over 80% of the actually known doodads blends (and Howler's finest blends).
Some examples of pre-made doodads-placement are also shared (taken from Crescent Dyne and Tree of Genesis and some work from samsizzle).

Have fun not having to touch anymore the Doodad layer or have to pass hours laying out your doodads placement :)
(That freaking took me over 3 hours to do)

EDIT: I've also updated my "Trees" brush. It now contains one more trunk and some more big trees (from Howler).

I have Howler's map and I took the best blends from it and included them into my "Doodads" brush so I do not think I need to see what is in your brush, sorry ^^ ;o
What is that "edit 22" thingy?
