Hellbringer isn't meant to be played as a intelligence carry though, so it's more of a luxury on him.

One gay thing about puppet tho is that with his puppet show, if the person you use show on kills someone on their team, it counts as a deny. Really gay. Happened to me 3 times DX

i thought puppet show attacks were non-lethal. or was that changed in recent update?

EDIT: i looked that the top 100 ladder, and more than 80% of the players' best hero is soulstealer. so im like wtf? is he that amazing? is he op? i know the three nukes at once is pretty nice, and his ultimate is good, plus a bonus 60 damage, but still...

SS is godly. His only real problems are squishiness and going oom very quickly. He carries very nicely and comes with an imba nuke that's wonderful for people both approaching you and running away from you. The + damage helps endgame but it shines early for helping with last hitting in order to start his farm with his shitty starting damage. All that coupled with a -armor aura (who doesn't like -armor?!!?) and an overpowered ult, provided good placement, he's a very good hero.

He's picked so much in higher games versus lower games because he's very hard to play correctly. Noobs try him, get owned and write him off as shit.

The ladder just automatically gives you Soulstealer unless you register and change your hero. If you search for yourself your "best hero" will be Soulstealer too.

With that said, he is very powerful.

5.5 magic armor (default on all heroes) = 24.8% magic damage reduction. Just an fyi.

yea can anyone comfirm this?

also, the best player ive ever played with (his kdr was like 3.7:1) played with soulstealer and he was amazing. the rest of his team (including me) wasnt doing so well, and we had 2 feeders on our team, but when all was lost he carried the team to victory and pwned all of the enemies.

he had some great ganks with his 3 nukes

it's a glitch with certain things like bonus damage they need to fix.

Ultimo and i had a great game today against my noob friend. He kept claiming normal mode wasnt any harder than em, so i let him take the opposite side. I figure ultimo will post screens, since he did well as valk, and i forgot to take some.

Played blacksmith, who is such a tank. By the time i was level 15 i had 2028 hp, and by the end of the game i had 3000 at lvl 20. Also, the multicast on fireball works a little differently now, and i like it.

unfortunately harkons reduces magic armor by 5 on the first attack...

lol, uh, no screens here. It wasn't a very memorable game for me to say the very least, 4 deaths, and Madman started out-carrying me late game, because I would get focus fired.

edit: the multi-cast replicates what it does in dota, so it does 4 blasts of fireball over a span of a couple of seconds, giving you more time to hit and stunning them longer. It was a much needed change.

edit2: it's great when a maliken calls solo mid, doesn't gank, and then leaves 10 minutes in. PUBS ARE AWESOME. too bad PR can't carry.

Yeah, i had a devourer solo mid over a hellbringer in a recent game. Thought it would be bad, but it turned out that the devourer got 3 kills early against the arach on the other side. It was pretty funny.

He's pretty mean solo. Especially if you can pull them into your tower range for some impressive tower dps.

Currently on a 5 match win streak, all games won in no more than 23 minutes, average of less than 20.

I love inventing strategies... =)

Are you sure about that?

Not because of the heroes themselves but because of those who pick them :P

Blood Hunter can mid as long as you get last hits.

The silencer and rhino rider port look freakin sweet. The art teams, both concept and 3D, are awesome.

But it makes me wonder what this will be used for. Any theories?

I think it could be huskar, considering they've been looking for str ranged heroes, and this guy looks like he could be a str hero. Either that or he's original, or an int.

Pics for reference. Vindicator and Rampage.

i was just wondering about this big difference im seeing in dota than HoN. i never played dota but i was looking at some videos on youtube and i noticed that heroes in dota lose a ton more hp and attacks do a ton more damage, but in hon attacks dont do as much damage. is this true? or is it just the graphics decieving me?

here are example videos:
HoN Gameplay
(yes i know they are all noobs, but it shows how the health/damage system compares to DoTA)

DotA Gameplay
(its a bunch of ganks made by silencer, but it seems that the health drops so much faster than in HoN. also, it looks as if some of the other heroes do almost no damage to silencer)

More DotA

Because you're watching a decked out Silencer deal massive damage with a Hyperstone, Power Treads, Mek, Orchid along with his innate orb ability of pure damage based on intelligence. He was probably doing upwards of 120+ damage along with +60 pure damage, so of course he's going to own. Compare heroes that HoN actually has next time.
