Also, I know that the problem is linked between Creature of Mist's two forms. Sometimes he doesn't lose his artifacts because the game thinks he switched forms when really he died.

Thanks for the offer, but for now I have already destroyed every known bug in my systems. I will definitely keep you guys in mind though if any tougher ones come up.

A Story:

So this motherfucking bug was talking mad shit to me for the past 24 hours. I was searching my triggers, but there are lots of them, so this bug was being pretty elusive. Eventually, after hours of combat and near death, I narrowed this thing's location down. I went to it's hide out and took it by the throat. Of all the cruel tortures I could have done to this horrid thing, I chose to be humane about it. Taking out my new condition writer, I slapped a "Current players suffers exactly 0 deaths of..." on that bitch. It didn't even know how to handle it, and went away forever.

Moral: I don't fuck with bugs.

Moral2: Now I can work on my next check box.

Dude yes!! Finally a ninja in an AoS (well, out of the ones I played).
Didn't think a shuriken barrage would drain MP. Just thought you can have it spawn wraiths/scouts for their rapid response when attacking, so right after they attack, you can remove and spawn them again. This creates a really fast spell attack. Looks cool too :)
But that's just a suggestion. Chakra Drain sounds nice...

On another note, your terrain looks a lot better than last time. Just keep it varied and interesting. Maybe an area with ruins sounds pretty fun to fight in. Or marsh. Keep up the work. Can't wait to play it, sounds very promising. Btw, there are spell combos right?

When you get him, it will be day time. You get WEREWOLF BASED spells, you are a devouring one, but you move slower because there is a part of you that is vampire is kinda holding you back.

Once it turns dark, you gain VAMPIRE BASED spells. You are still a devouring one. The only difference is that you move faster, and you can burrow for an increased MP regen rate. When it is DARK, his fourth spell is a curse that - when it hits an enemy - causes a swarm of bats to attack them until the curse wears off.

When it is LIGHT OUTSIDE, his fourth spell is a technique that changes him into a full-fledged werewolf. He gets bigger, stronger, faster and so on for a short amount of time.

=) I love the excitement. Yeah, the ninja is going to be pretty badass. The thing you gotta know about shuriken is that it isn't actually an attacking move. However, there is a combo technique for the ninja that he can use right after he uses his shuriken technique. This combo turns all his shurikens into fireballs that home in on nearby enemies.

Picture this: The ninja is in the dark, and he doesn't know if there are enemies around him. He can use SHURIKEN to kinda scout out his surroundings, any nearby enemies are stunned a bit. However, if he KNOWS there is an enemy nearby, he can begin by throwing SHURIKEN like normal, but instead of letting them hit the enemy, he uses the combo technique and BAM. All the shurikens convert to fireballs that will attack the enemy.

There are some combo spells in the game, but not all characters have them. They aren't combos like ZEALOT + DRAGOON + ZEALOT, (as you might be familiar with from my map: CWT), rather they are just combo techniques that stack on top of base level techniques. Ninja is a unique character in the way that ALL of his techniques have a combo for them, giving him a total of 8 moves. Most characters have only 1 combo spell, and some characters (like serpent or samurai - who both already have 8+ spells) don't have any combo moves at all.

Thanks for the compliment on terrain =) Yeah, thank the brush palette for that, but of course I'm getting a little bit better. I have about 8% of the terrain unfinished as of right now, so I'll try to make it extra interesting for everyone.

Hm.... after I get some dinner, I'll decide what check box to take down tonight. Hopefully I have enough time before I sleep for class in the AM =). KEEP THE INPUT COMING GUYS, it is really motivating ^^!

EDIT: Meh, I dunno what check box to do next... Actually I just looked down at my list and saw 2 pretty easy ones. I'll get started right away.

EDIT2: Fixed an old bug that I overlooked pertaining to Psychopath. Also completed 1 more check box and added another screenshot to the OP.

No, He has multiple projectiles that scatter out into the surrounding area for his Shuriken attack. However, his FIREBALL attack will start at the position of all shurikens, and from there a unit's attack animation aims directly at target(s) nearby. If you have awesome timing, you can get the effects from both the SHURIKEN move and the FIREBALL move to both hit one enemy.

EDIT: Cool, Finished another check box today. Next thing I gotta do is this whole resources ordeal and associated triggers. Wish me luck.

Obligatory Update:

Alright, so I have finally reached the point of the map where the end is in sight. Almost at the 80% mark, and things are looking good. Just kicked the shit out of another check box (a big one, mind you) and a bug that came along with it.

We are down to 8 check boxes left to complete...

Here's the breakdown:

Alright, I can sense the impatience. Here's some news:

Hero Sanctuary vBeta1's estimated time of release is OCTOBER 20th.

If we are unable to get all the character back stories completed by then, the map will be released with a filler string in place of where the back-story overview would go. Hopefully we can get all 12 by the time BETA testing is completed at the very latest. I am very excited about this release, and I hope you guys are as well. I will need an increased number of testers in the next 10 days, maybe starting as soon as TOMORROW. If you are still available for testing this week, (especially next weekend) let me know (again, if you did already).


p.s. @ClansR4Gays: If you're still up for what we talked about a week or so ago, let us discuss some details.

I wouldn't say they are unchangeable, if you come up with a story that potentially kicks the shit out of a one that is already posted, we'll have a vote to see which to keep.

Uhm, he's an abomination creature spawned from a Werewolf and a Vampire. He is Neither a Werewolf, nor a Vampire, yet he has some powers from both.
