I am unable to connect to the chat server, and it is really bugging me. What did I miss guys? I see Incubus and Wretched Hag. Any new additions?

Yeah, two new heroes. One of them Queen of Pain port, which is the Wretched Hag, and Bane Elemental Port, which is Succubus.

The chat server is really pissing me off.

Had an epic game with Hydrolisk, Dark_Kevin and lovemeplz(lurker) from here along with a random pubbie. After Kevin gets a bad start, we manage to survive getting raxxed in the middle and then push back, killing their middle. They had a Swift who had to stun-lock to death and kill four times before he stopped buying back. Their top rax goes down and no one can wander out too far, everyone has to defend the base. The enemy Ophelia stays in the base to defend creeps and Succubus and Swift attack our base. Take them both down, and push down middle and finish the game, 1+ hour game and they had kill lead on us too. I didn't have any equipment because I couldn't farm, Kevin kept dieing, Hydro kept buying back, only the pubbie and lovemeplz(lurker) managed to carry us to victory.

Did anyone preorder the game yet?
I got an e-mail from them and I don't know if I'm going to.

well phobos i don't really care if you use him or not lol. and i havent played hon in a few days so i haven't tried out the new heroes yet. but bane element (succubus) is awesome at cc ( crowd control)!

Also, I'm terrible. Most games usually progress with increased yelling at me by my team. I don't understand why people think I would purposefully feed. I think I could do better if I could find a guide to explain all the numbers and stuff. Usually, my line of thinking goes like this: do I want +4 damage or +6 intelligence? I don't know what intelligence does, so I'll pick damage.

Also, what are some good items to buy at the beginning?

Everything is dependent on what hero you're playing ducky. Go to the HoN forums and look up general guides.

Each of your main stat (int,agi,str) increases your damage by 1.

Int increases your total mana and mana regen.
Agi increases your armor and attack speed (1% per agi, I beileve, for IAS, increased attack speed)
Str increases your total hp by 19 and increases hp regen slightly (I wanna say .04 per str. You dont really get str for the regen, it's just an added bonus).

Stats are generally a good start unless your hero's already buffed some starting out. It's no uncommon for even pros to have two or three 6xmainstat, 3xotherstats items. I can never remember what they're called but they're on the top right section of the shop.

Regen is a must too. Tangoes for regen on demand but not as fast/much as potion. Ring of regeneration (forget what it's called in hon. Something trinket? Trinket of restoration i think) is good if you take minimal constant damage. I often pick it up for melee characters since I'll likely make an abyssal skull which uses it.

I take stats over a crappy ability though, such as that Battle Hunger(Terrify?) ability on Legionnaire.

Enhanced Marchers allow you to phase through your Mummies though.
