The main one I'm thinking of, is the Drop Strategy..Where you amass a large army and load them up in Shuttles/Overlords/Dropships and sneak behind the enemies base and just unleash...

I've gotten owned so many times that way!!

What strategies do you guys usually use? I like to Mass units of all kinds, to give kind of a balanced effect.

Classic BGH strat: 2 tank drop behind their minerals on that sometimes-land-able cliff.

I don't really use many old school strategies, but I have considered a more defensive move while playing (zerg). I think it was evo chamber first > lair?

You make 4 spawning pools. You will be amazed at what happens next.

Aug 19 2009, 8:00 pm Biophysicist Post #8

4pool works as follows:
1: Don't do ANYTHING (except order your workers to mine) until you have enough resources to build a Spawning Pool.
2: Build a Spawning Pool.
3: Wait until you have 150 minerals.
4: Build six Zerglings.
5: Zergling rush kekekekekeke

At no point in this process should you build any Drones.

Allied mines.

Hold Position lurkers.

9pool with asap ling speed.

Aug 22 2009, 3:42 pm Neki Post #14

Allied mines is actually illegal in competitive play lol. You can stop lurkers from attacking by clicking on a building in a fog of war, there's a real sweet video of a guy doing it to kill 24 marines.

quick tech to robotics, use two zealots to block choke and quickly get a reaver and a dragoon, drop in mineral line. works like a charm against terran who are unexpecting.

A stategy i like to use on team maps, is to have a terran ally use a comsat station on a zerg base(enemy) and build a nydus canal leading to it while a nice big army waits at your end
