The vulture, currently, is only used for Carpet Bomber.. which can easily be changed into Gols or w/e I want...

I have prepared it before to be a hero, but gave it up for the Earth Demon (which may've be a mistake :P)
I was thinking of it being an Annoying, short stunning, below average dmg hero... ...
I had a Spell 1 ... which'd be Flare gun.. .a homing missile that, when it makes contact with a hero, it stuns them for 3? seconds... but it has a long fuse so that it can also be used as vision.. :\... (it'd also have to be a hallu)

That's a cool idea. My only concern is there's so many stunners now. Assassin with low-level Stun, Warrior with L3 long-range Stun, pretty much all the Volt's spells paralyze in some way or otherwise stop moving. There's the Dark Mage with Maelstrom, Light Mage binds with Dragoons (or maybe not? I forget what spells you have planned for him), Phantom has L3-hook, Marine has Carpet Bomber and level 1 stunner, you said Earth Demon's l1 will get a stun effect....a lot of spells that can immobilize in the game already is all I'm saying.

Also, regarding the Phantom, I ADORE its L2, Phantom Shot is awesome, cheap and easy way to avoid spells with the right timing. I've got my timing down to where I can dodge Mutant, Warrior and LM spells and snipe them for good damage at the same time. And it's got great damaage output, I spam attack ups so I can kill spawn leaders in two shots, and the forementioned small heroes are crushed by Phantom Shot. I really love sniping with that spell, it's one of my favorite spells from all the heroes.

My only complaint is that the L4 spell is a bit too mana heavy. The idea is solid and cool, but to really make the L4 worthwhile you need four or six halls out, and that's an extra 50-75 gas you have to spend. Maybe make it spawn a Ghost or two without any Halls? I still like it as-is, especially since you can trigger l4 to transform them anywhere while you stay somewhere safe, but at 120 mana l4 is already heavy, and with the added need for Halls its more like 200+ mana. And of course, if your opponent is smart they'll see the mass Halls, realize what's coming and just run away.

while it may be somewhat mana heavy it is a great feeding skill and if used properly can take out heros even if they dodge well by forcing them into one of your allies or to sneak up on them at night. It may be mana intensive but it is very powerful so the extra mana is warranted.

True. I actually did something like that in a game yesterday. I was playing top temple, and we had captured the middle outpost. A Warrior was attacking it, and I was at the right-most path before the bottom temple. I created some 8 halls (I had 260 mana) and sent them over to the middle base. The Warrior saw them coming from behind him and started to run, I didn't let him make - I triggered l4, turned them into Ghosts and sniped him as he ran past.

I'm not so sure it's all that great a feeding skill though. I have no trouble feeding as Phantom, with his damage I can kill spawn in one-shot after a while.

oh yes im quite aware you can one shot but you are still only granted so many men per wave. it allows you to take multiple lanes and push your exp even higher. As a phantom you should be above almost every class anyhow and this only furthers the gap. From here you can start breaking temple defenses with ease oh and the mana problem becomes a very small problem with 450mana

The "very small problem" requires you to get 450 mana, which is oh... about... :bang: lemme think about this... (450 - 60 = 390 >>> 390 / 20 = ? >>> 380 / 20 = 19) You need 19 civilians to get 450 mana plus you have to live long enough to get the exp. That is a problem with every character.


As an unrelated question, where can I find the newest version of 1.5d? I know there is about 6-7 of them and I can't tell which one is which, and I'm pretty sure I don't have the newest one.

Edit: Also, is it possible to change the trigger that gives buildings to the computer... whenever I actually decide to build a spawn building, there is almost no way to tell beforehand what I are building. So, if I build something I didn't want to, My first thought would be to cancel it's construction, but I can't do that because the game immediately gives control of it to the computer. My suggestion is to keep buildings player-controlled until they are finished building themselves.

450 - 60 = 390 - 50(for last upgrade) = 340 / 20 = 17 +1 is 18. As for it being hard to reach yes that can be so but all the while you are gradually building. You will almost always be above your opponents in exp as the phantom. Once you do reach l4 you will be able to use it to feed off 2 lanes and/or hunt opponents rather efficiently. With the random reorginization coming after casting l1 it will be even more benefit to have phantoms out.

I have a rather epic tale for you all here ^^

Well, I just finished a game and I was playing as phantom, and the moment the game started, both of my teammates left :ranting: ...
I still played anyway, as I phantom shot the enemy mutant for all 3 of his lives :D and I hooked the enemy dark mage into my cannons for all of his 3 lives. It then turned out to be a 1v1 with ME vs LIGHT MAGE (of death :lol: ) we duked it out for a while and I eventually got 450 mana, and I SPAMMT PHANTOMS & then L4 :D with 30 att ups. He died. Twice. by that.
But he managed to kill me twice with reavers >:( and he destroyed all of the cannons & pylons of my base. Then He killed my spawn gates... now I was getting desperate.
He then REAVER SPAMMT my temple... I was getting very desperate... then, I had an idea!
I ran out of his sight and spawnd lots of phantoms... spread them out... then rushed him! My temple only had 3 bars of hp left and it was being overrun by rines + hydras, and he then used his l1 so i couldn't hit him! My last hope was with a phantom shot, which required precise timing... and used l4 immediately after that, and, my timing was right, I shot him before he could l1 again, and HE DIED! IT WAS SO AMAZING! :uberw00t:
I actually killed him before my temple died! I swear that was the most amazing match I've ever played, and i thought I'd tell you guys.

I'm looking forward to that reorganization too. As is, when I spawn the Halls they usually only distract for about, two seconds, before my opponent finds me. But they are quite useful early on for distract before I have enough ups to take them out alone, they're especially useful for Marines, I stick a couple in front of me and snipe the spawn from safety.

You're either uber pro, or the Mutant and DM suck :P. I love using Phantom Shot against the Mutant too, it's the perfect counter for his spells. I can't use the Hook spell though, I either move it too fast and lose the unit, or in my effort to keep the unit hooked move it too slow and can't move them anywhere useful before it wears off. I've never managed to get one into the cannons like you said, no one ever comes close enough once they realize I've got it.

EDIT - I'm renewing my bitching about the Dropship. I faced a Marine with Phanton today, the Marine was basically untouchable, he had the Dropship hanging around all the time, I'm Phantom so I can't kill it, and whenever I go too far from base the Dropship paralyzes me, the Marine comes and hits me with D-web, and I'm helpless as he kills me. I eventually sent out 8 Halls and used my l4 to transform them to attack him, he just lets loose a bomb and kills them all. The l4 ghosts, not the Halls. I wasted over 200 mana and it was all wiped out instantly by the Dropship.

Honestly, I hate the Dropship, I know I'm noob and don't know how to handle it, but that's what pissing me off about it. Unless I'm one of the select few that can actually kill it, basically any time my opponent gets the Dropship they can keep me contained in base because once they stun me, I'm screwed. This isn't the first time this sort of thing has happened. I see the Dropship and can't do a thing about it because I can't kill it, all I can do is run from it.

Hm... I can see why most people don't like the dropship. I have no opinion because I've never fought it :lol:

I shall throw out a suggestion: Whenever Assault has a dropship out, the dropship will automatically spawn a civilian (however much health the dropship has) or some other unused unit (with small amounts of damage) that stays under it no matter where the dropship moves similar to the Earth Demon's Burrow Drive. The dropship would be invulnerable and could only be destroyed by killing the "bottom" part of it.

I've seen this kind of trigger used in two different games: Temple Siege 1.5 (Earth Demon) and Resident Evil: One (The Tyrant would have a scourge on top of it that you'd have to kill multiple times.)

Edit: And loading the unit into the dropship would result in it's death (somehow...)

Although I'm sure this idea will never come to fruitation I'd thought I'd just offer a suggestion :shifty:

if you use phantom shot i believe its l2 right b4 the stun hits you wont be affected. ive used this against dm's and it works swell but as for killing the dropship thats another matter. In the next version unholy is taking about a new dropship spell as this one is pretty useless atm due to its size combared to old size.

I know, in one game, a Warrior ran up to me and triggered his L2 to attack me, I used Phantom Shot to avoid damage and sniped him, he ran away with half his HP. I said "strike one". This was right outside his base, so he went and healed and came back. He tried his L2 again, I used Phantom Shot again. "Strike two". He comes back a third time a little bit later, but I'm out of mana this time when he uses L2...

I just cloaked and walked away. "Strike three, you fail".

But yeah, I love how it can avoid attack spells, because with his slow speed and lower HP, the Phantom needs to conserve his strength. Now that I know I can avoid stun and other spells with it too, I'm gonna have some fun.

I think it would be nice for psion, if when he used vortex on spawn, it would teleport the spawn off map into a small box. In the box, 2 mystic fighters would shoot at the spawn until the spell ends, then they are all removed from the box. This way psion gets some kills for using vortex.

Perhaps when he also casts l2, spawns will very slowly 1 by 1, be poofed into the box from the void.

It wouldn't really be OP, he would just get a few more kills with each spell. Double l1 is good, but mana-draining for only mediocre spawn-killing.

Or you could have it so the void slowly makes spawns appear in the box, so you get some kills with just void.

I was wondering if there's going to be a limit of cannons placed by a player. I just played a 2 hour 2v2 that turned into a 1v1. I lost because he lost all of his spawn points and I had all three. He kept feeding and I couldn't get near his temple because he spammed cannons around his temples. If you can make like a 3 cannon limit placement, that would be great...

I raged for an hour because he was a mutant and I was a warrior

He had 5K+
I had 1k

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
