Farm request

:payne:

This is for my Tree of Genesis project (http://www.staredit.net/topic/7808/).
Here is what I've got so far, but Lethal_Illusion only finds it "okay" and Vrael says it seems much more like a garden than a farm.
Could anyone come up with something better?

Thanks in advance! :D <3

The sword and the faith

Farm from RP - Isahain by Laura and myself. Figured it might give you some ideas. I think spriting in rows, if you have the free sprite space, might work as well.

:payne:

That's what Vrael wanted me to do :P
But this seems require a too big amount of terrain space to ensure the quality (little pads like this wouldn't make think of a farm at all, I suppose). :S
Any other suggestion?
(And thank you, Exc ^^)

What are you supposed to be farming? Weeds from the looks of it... Try changing the doodad/sprite to a taller(more corn-like) one. Maybe try laying a sprite over a doodad.

Quote from dictionary.com
Garden : 1. a plot of ground, usually near a house, where flowers, shrubs, vegetables, fruits, or herbs are cultivated.

Farm : 1. a tract of land, usually with a house, barn, silo, etc., on which crops and often livestock are raised for livelihood.
They are virtually the same, I would say that one is smaller and one is larger. If you want it to look like a farm, you need a larger tract of land.

I like the bottom with the vespene, but the top right looks almost junkyard-ish(public-dump-site-ish)... What did you make the tree out of? yellow satellite dishes??

What is that in the middle near the two civs? Are that sprites? And what sprites?

Its Desert Doodad 07.
I wanted it to be a haystack, but you are right, the brown civ looks like the bole of a tree :-)
I havent checked ingame vision, but i just wanted to give some inspiration.
You can use all of the junkyard-ish(public-dump-site-ish) things if you use some more of 1 kind in a row for a field.
Same for the salad bottom left ( i think it looks like salad ).
There are other just grass combinations that look like fields, this is the best one i think, but there are mass more.

Using young chrysalis would make it like carrots maybe? :O Because I might actually need that power-up you're using for my drop system :S
