Evolves RPG ..
a strategic 3v3 Rpg
what happens is that everyone starts off as a zling or smth lowly unit.
ppl start off killing and getting exp .. and Level up
However.. This isn't like evolves where I'd just make another unit for the Hereo as the levels progresses
what happens is .. in each level.. player pick which "evolutionary aspect" they wish to level
The three main ones would be
- Biological Fitness
- Evolution
- Reproduction
Others which can be changed would be like
- Technology
- Alchemy
- Spirituality (holiness)
- Melancholy (unholiness)
...
Now let's not go too far... lemme explain the first 3 basic aspects
Fitness = Armor and Weapons ... if it's level 1 .. your gas will be SET AT 1 .. and you can upgrade to 1 armor + weapon for any unit.. The next upgrade would need 2 gas .. which means you need level 2.
Evolution = Your Main Hero's Unit... the more points you put into this aspects, the better unit your hero can be...
For example.. ur first unit can be a Zergling . when you get 2 evolution points .. you can change ur Zergling into a Hydra.
Reproduction (or smth less sexual) = Your minerals in which you gain over Time. The more points you put in it, the more minerals you get over Time.
Now minerals is for Spawning units. There will be a place for you to choose which units you want to spawn. Obviously, better units may need more minerals.. However, most units will only require 1 mineral..
Why? this is because they need the Other Evolutionary Aspects
- Technology = For example.. to spawn.. let's say a Vulture as your "reproduced things"... you need Technology Points! ... Vulture would probably cost smwr around 1-2 ores and 3-5 technology points.
Of course, the more technology you have , the better spawn units you can get...
- Alchemy = Magic/Elements... I don't know if i should incorporate this into the Hero .. or to the Spawned units. For this.. I can either have certain spells that needs certain levels.. and your Main Hero can cast it
Or it can be so that you can Spawn more spell like units such as Queens and High Templars. .. Most likely Spells for the Hero.
- Spirituality = Holiness .. Units such as Archons.. Dragoons.. and Defensive buildings like photon cannons ...
Spirituality will take the role of the Protoss units. .. More spiritual you are.. more protoss you are. (except for DT of course)
- Melancholy = Necromancy .. Unholiness .. Zerg type units. allowin you to spawn Infested terrans and mutalisks. and of course .. DT's
.. now.. More to come? .. maybe in SC ii.. right now.. SC i doesn't offer enough units. (maybe)
Okay .. now backtracking
Why don't we just Mass reproduction and spawn like crazy amount of units?
- because you can't spawn good units unless you go into Tech or Spirit
Why don't I just keep getting Evolution points and get a crazy Hero.. Actually.. Is it even possible to have so many different heros?
- because. I am planning to have certain Hero units that need TWO different aspects.. Such as Hero Goliath needing both Evolution and Technology.. But Hero mutalisk only Evolution (flying ! ) .. and yes it's possible ... Since there're luckily hero versions of a lot of units. What i'm worrying is do I have enough Spawn units?
Now backtracking even more
This is a 3v3 RPG .. meaning that there'll be 3 different types of ppl versing another..
Obviously.. it is your team's strategy in which and who will focus on which Evo-Aspects.
To win.. the teams must destroy the other's Spawning building. and Hero.. ( A hero will have 3 lives unless the spawning building's dead )
And the Enemies will be Computer Units.. Overlapping Spawn units.
.... And that's about all i can think of..
Please write some suggestions or if you noticed any dead-ends please let me know =D
I hope i'll get to do this map.. <_< since i'm still working on another RPG
