Hello Everyone, Just A Quick Introduction Til' I Get To The Bread And Butter Of This Topic,, Basically, I'm A New Map Maker, Even Though I'm New To This, Doesn't Mean I'm Completely Lost . But, I Plan On Making An Rpg, Nothing To Flashy, Not Yet, But I Hope You Guy's Can Help Me With Much Needed Insight, And Other Thoughts.

Plot: After Being Gone On A Hunting Mission, You Find Your House Burning, And Your Father Missing. You Set Out To Find Him, But You Begin To Realize This Is Not Just Your Regular 'Father Is Out Fishing' Experience, And Is Actually Involved In Something Much Bigger Than Just Yourself, But Your Entire Country. And Saving Him, May Mean Saving The Country From The Ever Growing Threat Of The Invasive Zorc Race.

Terrain: Jungle, 256x256; Most Of This Map Will Be In The Jungle, Which Ties Into The Plot Of The Whole Story.

What Happens In The Map?: Since The Main Mission Is Finding Your Father, You Must Go Exploring, Expect Many Caves, Boss Fights, Puzzles, Quests, And Even Simple Things Like Finding Shelter In The Rain.

Wait, Why Is This In The Theory & Ideas Section?: Because I Am New, I Want Your Guy's Opinion As Well, If You Guy's Have Any Ideas, Concepts You'd Like To Be Seen, As Well As Insight To How To Make Great Puzzles, Bosses, Spells, Etc. I'd Greatly Appreciate Your Help.

Hello, welcome to SEN. I hate to get right on your "case", but please, do not capitalize every word. Capitalization should not be abused like that, as it makes everything difficult to read. Just getting this out of the way so you don't maintain a bad habit.

Hope the map goes well.

p.s. - Members, yes, I could have kept this to a PM, but I don't want members reporting this or posting related comments.

The most common and easiest system for spellcasting is by far, building a unit. Weather this is from a gateway or stargate, (4) spells. Or a starport (5) spells, it's extremely easy to use. Another system that is faster, involves a hotkey for every unit you want to cast, You hotkey the spellcasting unit, select it and than click somewhere, detecting when it moves activates the spell. If you want some puzzle ideas, please see the topic: http://www.staredit.net/topic/5222/unread/#special , but don't steal to many of them, try to create your own new interesting ones. Some cool features are equpiment for stat bonus's and different items like teleport and healing.

Well, if you ever have any problems with any system, check out the wiki or tutorials section. If they don't answer your question, post on the UMS Maps and Assistance forum. You'll have your question answered.
Welcome Aboard :D

Vrael -- It is, and I could definitely use a company with a commitment to flexibility, quality, and customer satisfaction to provide effective solutions to dampness and humidity in my urban environment.

NudeRaider -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: Idk, I was looking more for a dehumidifer company which maybe stands out as a beacon of relief amidst damp and unpredictable climates of bustling metropolises. Not sure Amazon qualifies
sounds like moisture control is often a pressing concern in your city

Vrael -- Maybe here on the StarEdit Network I could look through the Forums for some Introductions to people who care about the Topics of Dehumidifiers and Carpet Cleaning?
