I'm making maps based on sports
please post ideas of sports to do and a vague idea of how it would work thank-you

So far I have played Basketball and Baseball... Both those maps turned out really good by their creators. Tennis would be fun, or ping pong if you liked the movie 'Balls of Fury'... Is Fooseball considered to be a sport? Or would that simply be a family activity...

foosball wouldn't work very well with starcraft imo.
yeah tennis would be cool, wouldn't be that difficult either.

Tennis would be the same as volleyball basically.

What about a golf map. That would be fun. Or swimming.

I was thinking of making a tennis map for the longest time. Same with foosball. I had a method of how those games would work for a very long time, but devilesk beat me to it in his scourge volleyball map

There's a golf map made, I think it was by (MM)M@STA or something like that. It's really glitchy though, but alot of ppl I know play it alot. Too bad I dont have the map anymore

What about soccer? Has that already been done? It could be programmed nearly the same as basketball.

ive only played basket ball it is very fun it was harder than i expected.i think someone should make a Tug-O-War again i had it on my old desktop but then i got a new laptop with the sucky vista(i dual booted to a way better more secure system, Linux)and i had completely no of the awesome old maps that ghost yoon made origannaly that was unedited and nEgAtIvE]pAiN[ made like pick ur def free$$$$stack maps and stuff was awesome.


Oops i went off-topic there umm,we need a football one like to tackle em u run into em and to do the plays like the basket ball one so defense has different units like dropships and atk has shuttles so you can intercept or backward lateral and stuff

1. Tennis is not like volleyball in any sence nor SHOULD it be like that game in any way or form.
2. Terrain is a huge part of a sports map, you need something that catches the gamers eye. It may not help gameplay but if it looks good that helps.

As for ideas I'd say billiards but that requires physics which'd be kinda hard to do in an sc map, though not impossible mind you. ( You can't do cos in sc )
You could also do something like hockey which could be fun

As for cheeseman, that's been done... for quite a while now..

P.S. NFL BLITZ, Devilesk's Futbol and Basketball are like the only GOOD sports map out so far. So if you make a sports map at all it's likely to be popular.

I saw a terrible remake of quidditch a long time ago. Again I don't have it, but I doubt anyone would want to; it's that bad.
