i would like to make a marine that has a color similar to the color in the jail break maps. those marines are like a bluish yellow color that is definately not one of the standard colors. is there any way to change the color to that or does it require mods or somethin?

You're talking about the unit color and not the wireframe, right? To make unit colors different than the standard ones, go into Map Description (for SCMDraft), and where it says:

Player 1: Human
Race: Terran
Color: Red

Change the red to another number (I forget how many numbers you can use). All the numbers result in a different unit color, and some of them have a cool glowing effect to them.

There are 256 colors possible, to find the color you're looking for I reccomend trying farty's program:

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

Use ScmDraft, instead of choosing a color from the pulldown menu just type the number in.

If you give the unit to neutral (p12), then the unit will stay the same colour

Rescued units also retain their color.

On that map you posted, they used number 17 for player 8, the rest of them are normal, just thought you might want to know that.

Do not forget that the flags owned by a special-colored player makes the game crash if you click it.

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
