Im working on a map thats going to have a really strange money system. The player is able to mine minerals but they are only good for exchanging to gas or to build more mineral miners. I'm making it so when the player wnats to exchange their minerals for gas, they move a civ to a beacon and pending on their minerals, they will get a certain amount of gas, sorta.

Let me show you the triggers.

  • Current Player brings exactly 1 buyer(civ) to location convert
  • Current Player has at least 100 ore
  • Actions

  • Set Switch 1
  • Preserve Trigger

  • My problem with this is it wont create a gas canister. Is there any way for me to change it so it will. I don't want to make it directly add the gas to their resource count.

    You will have to preplace them, only units that can be placed in normal Staredit can be created via triggers, gas canisters are extended units, you can move them, but you can't create them.

    ...but you can create the Power Ups:

    Data Disc, Young Chrysalis, Psi Emitter and the 3 Crystals.

    Maybe you just find another word for gas and a different name for the Crystals and you are good.

    You can call it "Borazon" for example. :-)
