This is my new map i am working on
Its for the RPG Contest 2009 and will hopefully finish it
Now lets start all this typing

Characters
You [Survivor]
You [Benelli-RMS]

Purple = wont be worked on for awhile, Orange = Halfway to 90 %, Green = 91% to done, Red = Started to 49%

Plot
1 Year after the infection, everything was going normally.
Zombies keep attempting to attack but fail, this defense
of ours was too much for them. Now that we have enough
soldiers, we can let out one massive attack to cure this
infection.

I am positioned as a Specialist in the intersection
on the first phase of the xtreme attack. Ready to tear
some zombie heads off with my bare hands, with a
weapon as well, maybe a shotgun will do.

First landing, I smelt the stench from all the dead bodies.
Commander Thomas has a special weapon for me located in the
Garage. Either a Benelli-RMS (ooo good for heads) G3SG1 and
Minigun.
All these missions.. so overwhelming, I was starting to
find this little army positioned in this intersection was too small
for this kind of defense. Static from every radio, headphone,
speaker freaked most of the people out. They have to send
more things!

The reply you've so anxiously been anticipating!!

anyways, there's some nice terrain in there, but there's not much else for me to critique...mayhap this is why nobody else has replied? Ok, done with the sarcasm. Briefly. This map has the potential to be a fairly good one. Terrain, as I said, is pretty good. The gameplay looks at least decent, from what you've said and the screenshots. I haven't checked the map, but I intend to check it out when it's finished [or at least a little further along]. Hit me up if you need trigger/testing/pretty much any help.

anyways ive finally added weapons in a new version
and pick up ammo. Ill add health packs soon
and maybe the start of the horde coming after u

:wtfage: for once?? I'm a pretty honest critic. Usually. Sometimes I do let my cynical side out too much, but thats alright.

health packs as in when a creature dies, it drops a power-up [data disc, psi emitter, etc.] would be cool
I haven't seen those in a while...the kinds that actually make you walk over and pick it up...same goes for the ammo

EDIT: I think I'll look over it and try to give you precision-placed bombs [of advice].

errr well there will be masses of zombies, i think the powerup will be inplaceable. anyways ive already thought of how to items come. a heli sends items and drops em off

:bleh: lol some of my maps ive had, thats really bad terrain and unit names suck and maybe need more improvement

I was thinking of a skill where u throw a grenade and or bomb

Miniguns aren't useful against zombies, as they are too heavy to carry around AND have the batteries to run em AND all the masses of ammo they consume. I suggest you swap it with something like an AK47, maybe Uzi, something like that.

I can imagine, but I like to be realistic with my maps mostly.Specially zombie maps, cos there are too many sucky ones out there.

also the terrain is rather blocky, if you look at these two links they have some good blends.
RoryFenrirs site <--The first few are blocky, it's the ones down the bottom that you want.

Wel just think, in this map, the time is more like the future. Maybe 2030? I doubt weapons will be the same

Oh, whenever I entered a building, I couldn't get back out...might wanna fix that by having separate entry and exit locations...

And so far I haven't been able to talk to anyone, or pick up any weapons. Maybe the locations are too small??

i got a new fixed version and will update shortly. it has more stuff added now like, pick up weapons and ammo and health packs and zombies will come after u talk to comm thomas the 2nd time. And pigy fixed my locations only like 2 or 1 tho

Although weapons will have changed, i still reckon you won't be carrying miniguns around.The game seemed alright though, probably will be cool once it's done.

To ensure that locations aren't too small, you can make a location that always follows a hero. If the unit that you want to talk to is inside the hero's location, then you can talk to that person/unit.

I don't want you to take this too harshly, but frankly, I think the name sounds kind of dumb. It doesn't have that kind of ring to it that helps you get into the mood of the map.

People, please do not judge the map by the current status, it is undergoing massive changes and all names will most likely be overhauled. Were currently working on systems and then will start on the main gameplay.
