Aedus, the fact that there's no Hebrew word for sphere comes from the link you posted for us to read, not my knowledge. If you're going to use a link as evidence for your case, please have the basic courtesy to read it yourself.
If you look at my post, I was only referring people to the
other examples that were on that page. I didn't read the sphere thing because I already read about it somewhere else. Sorry for the confusion.
That argument is to see if he ever knows how science and evolution works. And you Falkoner, you said evolution had plot holes (It would be unlikely to say this). What do they teach you in Arizona? And I had straight A's, no B's and below and all that crap. I brought the word "School" and "Grades" to see if he actually understands anything about Science, Evolution, and etc. Because what's the point arguing with you guys if you are neglecting science and evolution? I tend not to explain science and evolution because it speaks for itself, and many here explained it already (Why can't you learn how Evolution works?). You should've learned science and evolution at Middle/Junior High/Secondary schools, yet it seems like they didn't teach you about it.
I got good grades in public school, and now I'm in my first year of college, getting good grades as well. I got an A in Biology, which is my favorite subject, where evolution is a crucial part of the course material.
And neither do you. I wonder why that is.
Not true. Their obligation is to convert people, and asking for an agreement if god is real. And it's my fault? And how is it anyone's fault? That doesn't make any sense.
Again, it's nobody's fault you're taking the bible to be a science book. I really don't know how many times I have to repeat this to get it through your skull. Yes, I agree it's stupid of people to try to use the bible as scientific proof and disregard evolution entirely. But I don't see where you go from that idea to "theists owe me a scientific explanation for god".
And besides, I've seen plenty of Christians that went the wrong direction from the black plague to discrimination. I mean really, why hate the Muslims? I thought the point of Christianity is to accept people and whatnot.
Intolerant people will always be intolerant. I've met atheists who were intolerant as well. But it's stupid to just blame religion, especially since it at least tries to deter intolerance.
Let's recap. Here's what you said:
On the front page, it revealed an article about George W. Bush is a strong willed Christian that doesn't believe in evolution.
Here's what the article actually says:
Bush: "I think the creation of the world is so mysterious it requires something as large as an almighty and I don't think it's incompatible with the scientific proof that there is evolution."
For someone who claims to have gotten a basic education you seem to be a little short on your reading comprehension skills, eh?
I'd love to see you argue everyone in the comments that had voted for evolution.
Here's the problem with that poll: it's too broad. Certainly, while many Christians might take the old testament figuratively, they certainly don't take the testament of Jesus Christ figuratively. As for the poll about the origins of life, it doesn't matter who voted for evolution or who didn't, because the poll doesn't take into account who is a theist or not.
Lastly, welcome to StarEdit Network. Registering in SEN just to argue in this topic? Lulz.
LOL! You looked up my posting history? Get a life dude.
None.
