LOL WHEN DID MCCAIN BECOME A CONSERVATIVE? HE DIDN'T
He's been appeasing his base the entire campaign; why do you think he picked Palin?

Quote
That's right, instant respect and admiration. Just like that

Democrats that ride in on economic elections(FDR, Clinton), enjoy high approval ratings at a national and global level. Why? Because the Democrats that ride in on those waves fix the economic problems. In 2001, we had the largest surplus in our nation's history, and then had a change in policies. Eight years later, our national debt is twice what it was, our deregulated housing bubble has collapsed, and we are mocked internationaly for our ludicrous foreign policy.
Palin is the only bone he's thrown conservatives, and it wasn't even a good one.

Clinton only had a surplus because the republican congress forced him to adopt one. And he weakened our military. Bush strengthened it again.

You know someones a hick when they want gay marrage banned. Come on, no one hates change or things they cant understand more than rednecks!!!
Both McCain/Palin AND Obama/Biden want gay marriage banned. One can clearly see this from the Vice presidential debate. However, both sides support gay couples' rights and stuff (with Obama/Biden seemingly more in favor and unhesitating about it.)

Democratic nominee candidate Barack Obama opposes Proposition 8 "Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry" in the State of California. Therefore he does not want gay marriage banned. The proposition 8 supporters just uses Obama to support their ads.

Just two days away from election day. :D

I also would vote No on prop 8 because it really does eliminate rights and if religion is your reason to say Yes on prop 8 then you are so controlled >:( .

Other than the reason that your religion opposes it, why do you oppose gay marriage? Giving gays the right to marry does NOTHING to you. What if your child was gay/lesbian? Your best friend? You are calling for legal discrimination against a certain people. Supporting Prop 8 or anything of the sort is being no worse than supporting slavery, the Jim crow laws, calling for minorities not being able to marry.

As much as I think gays should the right to marry, I don't think it's fair to beat up Falkoner over his personal religious views. You may think he's a bigot because he doesn't think gay people should have the right to marry, but it's pretty mean to imply that he should ignore his religion.

I don't know about you guys, but I believe the reason most people want gay marriage banned is because they want the word "marriage" to be between a man and a woman, not because their religion says so. Only like 1 out of 10 people i know are against it because of religion. The word "marriage" is the controversy to these people. If they were just called Gay civil Unions or something, i'm pretty sure like 90% of the anti gay-marriage people out there would have no problem with it.

Slavery? Voting no on Prop 8 says they can't marry, not that they are forced to give up their freedom for a life of work for a master who owns them as property. Jim Crow laws created separate facilities for races. Voting no on Prop 8 will not create "gay-only bathrooms". I'm sorry, but your analogy is hyperbole.

I read today on Digg a self-proclaimed conservative claim he was voting for Obama not because he agreed with him on the major issues, but because it's really about hope. Honestly, I think that is the biggest bullshit line I've ever heard. He just admitted that Obama will fuck the country up, but that the hope he'll bring will be well worth it.

Voting Yes on Prop 8 says they can't marry.

How is that admitting that Obama will fuck up the United States? He knows Obama is a better candidate and he knows that Obama had planned ahead to keep the United States away from its knees and onto its feet.

Personally, I'd call same/different sex marriage union in general, and different-sex union would be called marriage. After all, marriage IS conducted (or was, at least) religiously.

When he brings his religious views into the discussion, they're fair game. If he doesn't provide a reason for some of his views, we have to guess, and the best guess is often religion. PROOF FINISHED.

Religion should stay the fuck away from politics as much as science. Obama isn't Muslim (His relatives even said so), Muslim is not evil, redneck Christians are not Christlike, and the United States is suppose to be the land of the free and opportunity.

Ideals are rarely met, though, aren't they? Whether it be communism or democracy, something always screwed up the system. In this particular case, the public's complete inability to distinguish between a drinking buddy (I've read it in a few articles - Republicans traditionally try to portray the democratic candidate as, and I quote: 'not someone they'd want to grab a beer with') and someone to lead the country. Example: Palin. Just because she fits the standards of the 'just liek me ohmagawds11eon' retards doesn't mean she's political material - although, chances are, you're just retarded enough to think that she's just like you. It's a confusing cycle. You here is a generic American idiot, by the way.

Redneck Christians are, almost by definition, extremely conservative (and stupid). They won't vote for a woman (except, mayhaps, the women), they won't vote for blacks (there are black rednecks? O_o), and they seem to believe any piece of rumor, as per that video of an elderly lady telling McCain that she doesn't trust Obama because he's an arab. You can't keep religion completely out of politics, because it's a selling point. I don't think you'll find one president who didn't claim to believe in Christ at one point or another.

Did I over exaggerate? Yes, I did, but it's to sell the point that denying gays the rights to marry is legal discrimination, which what slavery was, and the Jim Crow laws. Also, Yes on 8 calls for our constitution to legally define marriage as between a man and a woman(a direct violation of church and state).

I don't recall any surplus or a booming economy from any Conservatives in the past 28 years. It's not like Clinton generated our nation's largest surplus in its history...

I live in Arizona, and we are also voting on a proposition of the same type as the one in California.

And giving homosexuals the right to marry begins to mix church and state, which are supposed to be separate, if my religion chooses to not allow a homosexual couple to marry in our Temples, they could run to the government, saying that we are not giving them equal treatment.

if your religion doesnt allow homosexuals couples to marry, why would they support your religion anyways? wouldn't they believe a religion that accepts gays anyways? and go to a temple where their marriage is accepted?

I may not be american by blood, birth, or by pride, but I have an opinion too.

McCain is too risky simply because of the Social Uproar that his Presidency will cause, and most likely will lead the United States of America into yet another war, or prolong the one you hypocrites are so desperate to leave. (to be honest your all becoming bleeding heart liberal hippies, who want nothing more than to repeat history and become freeloading peace loving idiots [ not that peace is bad or anything, but the world isn't perfect - get over it ] )

Obama, I see Obama as a semi-ok leader, not too great not too bad. I can't say what he's in this for, but he reminds me of my government back home in Sweden, Socialist. Obama puts too much into being a Robin Hood and doesn't see his policies and future actions are really gonna kick the U.S. while its down. His "Economic Plan" is a sham, and lets be honest people - it won't work, and if it does, I'll shut up.

But to be plain, Obama and McCain are in History regardless who wins, so pick who you would think would be the Best President; and let's not try to be biased here because Obama is HALF-Black, or Because McCain is depicted as another Bush (which I laugh at you people who say that) or because Obama has seemingly the most Support.

When you Americans Vote, Try To Use Your Own Brain.
And the Gay Thing? Come on people they are just Men and Women that want to be special in their own way, give them what they want, establish a Homosexual Church; Let them marry, in their own Facilities. If they want Heterosexual People to treat them with Respect, Decency, and Equality they need to shut the hell up and Establish their own crap. (even then, myself and others think they'll find more problems and more ways that they can be in the turmoil spotlight)

Anyone well informed about US politics, knows religion should be kept away from politics, and not greedy knows that Obama is a better choice.

http://www.barackobama.com/issues/economy/sidebyside.php
Despite that this is Obama's website, it is not biased. Those are facts.

McCain is just desperately attacking Obama with lies. And since the republican party had cheated twice in the election years 2000 and 2004, it isn't surprising to see it today.
