If you're imbuing him with intentional flaws, they're going to be blatant in your work, probably to the point of being cliche. It might be better to invent the character from his own point of view, especially since he might not believe some of his attributes are flaws. Imagine the defining moments in his life and how he reacts, the triumphs and losses, the abuses and the abuse he deals out, ect. Just my thoughts, maybe it's nonsense.

If you're just looking for a general list, perhaps excessive anger.

wth is starcraft

imbuing...blatant...cliche...attributes...triumphs...

Are you using big words to sound smart? :P It doesn't make any sense, your vocabulary kinda trails off at the end.

Make him play starcraft all the time instead of actually working. And if this is in the future, make it starcraft five.

Soldier: "Commander! We are under attack!"
Commander: "Not now Jenkins! I've got three hundred zealots trying to rush me!"

Change it to:
Quote from Loser_Musician
Soldier: "Commander! We are under attack!"
Commander: "Not now Jenkins! I've got three hundred zerglings trying to rush me!"
There. Now it's actually believable. :)

Three hundred zerglings? pfft, that's so starcraft 4. :bleh:

On a serious note though, make the character have a realistic origin of some kind, because people become different people through out their lives. Now, you don't need to do any chapters or anything like that for him, in fact it might be best that you don't. Just make sure you keep his entire life story in the back of your mind, so when you write him, you'll subconciously let some of his past show, whether it be in his speech, in his actions, or in his random muses.

No, I use the words that mean what I want to say. They're not even big words.

Would you be happier if I said:
"If you're going to be making a charater that is intentionally flawed, its going to be so obvious that you did it intentionally and not add anything to your work because its been done a lot of times before cause we can see all these same points that people are bringing up so its obviously been done before. It might be better to invent the character from his own point of view, cause he might not believe some of his flaws are flaws. Imagine the good times and the bad, and the pain and stuff that he lived through."

Loser_Musician reiterated the point I was trying to make, perhaps more eloquently?

Thinks about things too much. jk

But really: how about schizophrenia... hears voices in his head (as if different people) and he believes that they ARE there and are real, and they each have their own sets of flaws... and sometimes take over him. It'd be a good contrast to the "control" and stability that a general is supposed to have...
You could even base them off of people from SEN or your life, as a sort of shout-out!

Harasses women. Do I need to say more?... (it could be sexual, it could be "lol why aren't you in the kitchen!." Take it wherever you want.

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Ultraviolet -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[2024-5-06. : 12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
