Hello

So guys, you might remember the "DLDB Part 1 of many" topic made by IP. Sadly, not much had happened after that topic so I'm going to repeat this for the case you guys still got some ideas / suggestions / bugs / requests.
I'll list everything you guys are suggestion in this first post and write in brackets behind it whether I can do, will do, not able to or whether I need further information. To avoid the last thing please be very specific when posting a reply. For the case you want a re-structuring of something please be so kind and submit an image which shows how you want it as pictures says more than thousands of words.

List:
Category: most popular -> most downloads -> top rated -> top rated authors and submitters (I guess most of it is possible, maybe except the last one. I'll see)
Improve the rating system (But how...)

People aren't rating maps at all. 5th Station had over 40 DLs and still not enough votes to display an average (under 4 votes?). Perhaps when a member DLs a map, it records it somewhere and a couple of days later is gives him some small notice "would you like to rate the map you downloaded?" with a link to that map? You can disable this function from your settings menu.

Just throwing it out there. Most people probably won't like the idea. :P

I don't either, this is a real problem, yes, but there must be an other way to change that, as for your idea everyone will disable that feature.

Hello

improved the database's searchfunction again: can now also search for ratings.
Popular-section online and half done, but I doesn't really like it to be honest. http://www.staredit.net/download.php?area=popular

Maybe we could have an option to have "Project" files?
It could used for projects like HS, where there are multiple version available to the public. It could have the option to download the most recent of that map by the author, or to download previous version, just in case the most recent version isn't, in fact, better.
It could also have change history logs or such, but maybe that's a little too far.
