The Terrain Challenge of the Year
Jungle tileset is well known from the terrainers. It gives us so many discoveries and yet we still have to find some more.
But some terrain layers seems to be forbidden. In fact, I've rarely seen any blend for
Water, Raised Jungle, Temple, Rocky Ground and Mud.
I think there are always things to discover so today, I launch a huge challenge to all terrainers: impress us with your skills and surprise our eyes with some epic rarities. You can also dig up any blend that seems to have been forgotten since there are so few.
Any sprites are welcome (but it is preferable to avoid them) and setting your blend into a scene will obviously amaze the gallery even more.
Unfortunately, I cannot think of any other rule... we shouldn't restrict ourselves
There also isn't any reward else than having your name carved into our memory for all the eternity and placing some more blends into the Hall of Fame. Falkoner might appreciate to have some more maps to add to his compilation too
Any treasury found outside of the
Water, Raised Jungle, Temple, Rocky Ground and Mud areas may be shared too for the best pleasure of our eyes
Be part of the adventure,
StarCraft Terrainers

Ooh
Those are awesome/ I like the second picture. Sexayy.

Very nice but i find that the simple less blocky ones aren't as creative...
i'm still hoping that it'll look good enough for you to look past it ;(
Oh and if you don't like the one above here's another piece
None.
Howler, wow, I'm impressed!
Tempz, nice idea for the left one, but it is way too blocky :S The right one could possibly be passable...
And your third one was already posted into the Hall of Fame
None.
OK, just so you know payne, mud is nearly void of all life, and high jungle...you can only make like 2x2 isometric pieces that don't resemble anything recognizable. I think temple and water are the only ones that have high potential for this topic.
edit: for instance
None.
This. Just to clarify, I didn't make this terrain. Also, I'm not entirely sure who did...
Of course,
Raised Jungle and Mud are THE rarest. Water and Temple are actually kinda common.

Which piece do I use to get the corner of the bottom dock?
None.
Mud to high dirt
Great one, Yoshi! I like the FoW effect
A bit blocky, but would still make it for one of my map, so ya... there isn't really that much block
None.
Better than any mud blend this topic might churn out.
None.
Temple experiments (sorry for blockiness)Raised Jungle with realist vision! It got me inspired for some more experiments, but they aren't fitting the theme of this contest so I'll upload them into the Terrain Hall of Fame.

Oh, whoops - forgot to state that
I didn't create that terrain.
Sorry.

Why is terrain blending always in the Jungle tileset? Seriously, you say you rarely see any blends of what you mentioned, yet I believe the Jungle tileset alone (Along with Badlands) for blending is the most overused. If anything, I want to see more awesome blends from other tilesets such as Ash World, Ice, Desert, Twilight, Space, and probably installation.
None.
I love Jungle for it's working easiness
Anyways, I believe like you other tilesets are very left-over, but I personally dislike discovering them. I had a good time experimenting with Twilight, but I've had enough now. All the work I've done with Twilight is in the Hall of Fame if you are interested
I think the tilesets which would have most kick-ass blends would be Ash World, but I think no one will ever find them

Yay, my old waterfall!
The corner of the bottom dock is simply two dock tiles next to each other... I'm not sure I understand what your asking.
Might as well post some other ancient works of mine then.... Some of these are quite ancient.
