Alright so i get how to edit everything but i try loading it and MPQdraft cant find the mpq files
Then if i change MPQ to EXE and load it the mpq will find it load it and not mod the game at all
Any help is appreciated

What do you mean by "MPQdraft can't find the mpq files"?

Also, if you're using MPQDraft, that means you aren't using FireGraft. You should, it opens up all sorts of possibilities that you can't accomplish with just MPQ modding.

alright so i go to load mpq patch thing
i had saved them with WINMpq I think idk is there a save button on winmpq i missed
Otherwise i cant find them other then if i type in like Rawr.MPQ and yet it still cant find the file
it only works with .exe files but it wont even put the changes into effect

You have to manually locate the file. Press "Browse for MPQs" and navigate to the folder that holds your MPQ, then select the MPQ.

Also, I really suggest that you use Firegraft. Grafting ftw.

I save them in the freaking starcraft folder or my folder and yet i go to get it and Its gone
Addon: Forgot to mention that i could do this with other mpqdraft from maplantis but DEP would block it
Now it wont find the damn files or even see them

Hm. Try saving them to your desktop then looking on your desktop. If it still doesn't work, then there's some really weird glitch going on.

EDIT: Wait a sec. Do you have WinMPQ open when you try to load your MPQ? If so, close it.

Also, if you just load the .mpq, the exe won't be saved.
You have to choose "Create Self-Executing Exe" in order to have a non-disappearing exe.

Ok well now i can load and play the game

You can also add the .mpq extension to your file to save browsing time if you need to quickly open something. for instance: starcraft.exe.mpq or AdAstras.exe.mpq. WinMpq will automatically open these files then by just double clicking on them. This is nothing new to most prob, but something to note.

Also, even if you don't use any grafting, Firegraft makes for a better alternative to MPQDraft. The file will be a bit smaller, you can use a nifty little icon, and if you ever decide to add some grafting, it is always there. Firegraft SEMPQ's also seem to work for more setups than MPQDraft in terms of different installations and/or different operating systems. Just an observation.

Finally, you can always just archive your files into an SEMPQ that has already proven to work for you.
