![]() http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/9027/chessw.jpg I think this works, black MUST move his King, else he would get ownd by the rook, and for the case he would move it the bishop or knight will defeat him. There is no way for Black to win (probably). ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

oh shit, that's right... going to give it a try once again. Hold on.
EDIT: ![]() http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/2118/chess2c.jpg The Cycles displays where what figure stands and the colored rectangles shows in what area they can go. Think this is right: he would have to kill my bishop, but he can't, therefor he has to move his king, but whereever he moves it he's defeated. Or? I just checked it in game and that layout is correct. Here's a screen cap of the room to confirm. We've had a bunch of people look at the problem now and no one can get it - I think that the answer in game is not actually a checkmate. It's too bad we can't get past this room, I wanted to see the rest of the map because everything up to this point was really well done. Especially the music note room!

You can move the queen to block the rook. It's not Checkmate. EDIT: I see you figured this out on your own. There are actually only two solutions to this puzzle. I came up with it myself. Here's a hint: Both solutions are a mirror of each other horizontally around the king. Another hint KK just gave me: Good luck, ajexcode, going to give it a try as well. EDIT: Yay, got it. SPOIL: Link contains the solution, click on own risk. http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/7187/chess1y.jpg This post was edited 2 times, last edit by DeVouReR: Oct 20 2009, 11:14 pm. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
