I can't remember, is P12 useable ordering to patrol, attack etc.?
Red classic.

Neutral units can move, but they can't be ordered to attack.
None.
p12 won't do anything unless ordered. p9-11 will follow the unit which attacked them, otherwise they are like p12.

p12 won't do anything unless ordered.
But if P12 is ordered to attack then will it attack?

No.
None.
What does that have to do with anything?
Also, all players (with few exceptions), beyond 1-8 do not have AI support, and thus, cannot attack. They have no vision.

Hrmm, P12 is black is he? Coulda fooled me, I coulda sworn he was light blue...
Anyway thanks everyone else, I just needed to check.

Player 12 IS Light Blue (Aqua).

is there any way you can get p9-11 to attack this would be very helpful for a map im going to make. I know someone here said you can't, but like maybe there's a mod somewhere which will allow you to do so?
None.
Actually, I
have gotten them to attack. But only because when you hit an enemy, you gain vision of them, so when I hit Player 9's units in my test map, he rushed up to me and got off a hit or so. But I wouldn't recommend trying to use it. It doesn't seem to like attacking.
None.
So, do you think that would work if player 9 was the enemies for an RPG scenerio? Or not? Maybe, if you made a location that constintly spawns map revealers follow the unit(s) around, would work? By the way, do revealers work for
players above 8? Even try scanner sweeps. Hmm, I'm going to test this out actually.
None.
You can't make map revealers for players over 8. I believe scanner sweeps are uncreatable. I doubt you'll be able to pull off a neutral attacking.

too bad blizzard didnt go through with their original idea of making starcraft with 12 players instead of 8 normal and 4 neutral.

If they have non existent vision from their own units. Scanner sweeps are their own units. No vision.

StarCraft was severely rushed. There would've been a lot of things.

Done. If you attack the Kerris, then
some of them will attack you back, and not constantly. However, if you burrow, unburrow,
then attack, then they all hit you once and remain stuck in their attacking frame. It's very strange. See attached map.

Once you burrow again, they get unstuck though. This could be used for some random effects if you can move said Kerris and they stay in that pose.

Players 9 10 and 11 are glitchy as hell. I wouldn't recommend using them in a serious map.
Player 12 can't attack. Player 13+ are buffer overflows and I really really wouldn't recommend using them.

Just about every serious map I've ever seen has used those players, as they are
not glitchy, you just have to know how they work, and they provide neutral players, releasing slots for use with computers or more humans.

Getting stuck in an attacking frame certainly sounds glitchy to me, and I remember having sound experiences that suggested glitchiness. However I'll take your word for it.
Perhaps you could link me to a wiki article that describes precisely the properties of players 9 10 and 11.
