According to the site, the purpose is so that people can learn common hacking tricks so that they can block hackers.

I'll try that out tomorrow. Looks fun.

If this is legit then it sounds like a nice way to learn stuff.

Oh, and yeah, basics are pretty simple... did those with no real knowledge of anything, but about realistic 7 it gets pretty in depth.

Well the majority of what he said is quoted directly from the site's front page so it's no surprise it's going to sound like an ad. The rest of what he posted which is what he actually wrote doesn't sound like an ad though.

Pretty dang fun, but I, like Devilesk, gave up after level 4, I honestly am not sure how he's checking the form, I guess I should read up on PHP/ASP more.

Level 5 doesn't even require PHP/ASP lol.

Noob, I didn't give up after level 4. The only thing I gave up on was editing my post because it got boring. I beat all of the basic missions yesterday.

If you put them in the same category, notpron > hackthissite, IMO. Notpron has an element of "fun" that hackthissite doesn't.

"Notpron" doesn't appear to have anything but web challenges, makes it seem useless.

Eh, Notpron is more difficult, but HTS is more diverse, and learning centered.

I don't think it seems useless. I don't understand how you think that either because it helps develop thinking/problem solving skills. I guess you think those are useless

And yes, hts is more learning centered so that is a plus.
