ok well thank you nuderaider for helping me with my cocoon problem. ok so now i have 3 basic questions that i dont know cuz im kinda a newb :/ lol.

1: How do i set the player's colors permanently? i set them in the map description area but they always are random colors each time i test my map.

2: Well im making a ums map where each player starts with an identical setup. i changed player 1 to human and player 2 to computer (just for testing purposes). but sometimes when i test my map, i start at the bottom, and sometimes i start at the top. i only have the triggers for the top section in place so far so it is important that i start there. how can i set it so i start there permanently every time?

3: Im not sure if this is possible, but on some other map editors ive use (AoE and AoM) it allows you to name the entire trigger. it is very helpful for organization. is there any way to name the trigger?

We can't explain the universe, just describe it; and we don't know whether our theories are true, we just know they're not wrong. >Harald Lesch

1 & 2 are basically the same. Disable randomize start locations in the forces menu.

3: Use the comment action. But be aware that this takes one string from the map, so don't overdo it. All strings, including text messages, sounds, custom unit names, etc. must not exceed 1024.

Because the people who made SC made it that way. What kind of question is that? Most likely it's made like that due to slow computers having difficulty processing it when there's a massive amount of strings, obviously that's not an issue today, but it was when SC was released.

There really isn't a string limit, there is really a byte limit, which is 65536, however, the makers figured 1024 most likely would always be smaller than 65536.
