in Stardat. I came across a few things that i wanted to know if there was any meaning into it. (mainly 'cause i saw some of them in a mod once)
dlgs\zerg.grp
dlgs\terran.grp
dlgs\protoss.grp
dlgs\tile.grp
None.
Try opening them up and looking at them?
oh... cool
and shut up! I don't catch on to stuff as fast.
None.

What do you mean you don't catch up as fast?
If you don't know what they are don't you feel at least a bit curious and open them to see what they are?
fuck you all
On the subject of useless shit floating around starcraft, is there a list of unused .grp's somewhere?
Here's something I discovered the other day modifying all the menu cursors:
glue/palcs/arrow.smk
glue/palcs/arrhot.pcx
wtf? not used from what I can see, but obviously were meant to be tied together somehow.
None.
glue/palcs/arrow.smk
if you want to replace everyone, you have to make the same arrow for every screen the same (not talking about in game)
that arrow is when you go into the screen and where you chose play custom, load replay, load same, etc.
glue/palcs/arrhot.pcx
if it shows black screen, that's also where you get to change the background of the single player selection (load game, play custom, load replay, etc.)
None.
I just replaced every single cursor in every screen including the palcs one and maybe I'm missing something, but not a single one of them was a .smk. They were all arrow.grp. And every single one was different.
If you look at expcampaign.bin, there is no call to that .smk? In fact if you delete the .smk from install.exe (broodwar.mpq) the program and that screen (broodwar singleplayer) will run with no errors too?

There's a couple of things that blizzard left out like some warcraft crap on the .mpqs and some things of the super awesome "voice" feature which was never implemented.
