I gave my marine a grenade ability... and everything worked well, but then I do not know what I changed... now it castes the spell, and it just freezes, the caste spell button is white instead of yellow during gameplay, which means the spell probably is still executing...
I copied my animation excatly from the ghost, and yet the ghost seems to caste the spell just fine...
Would this be a DatEdit problem(order executing), iscript problem, or Firegraft problem...?
and if you know how to solve this... how exactly do you solve it?
None.
Did you give it a spellcasting animation?
Did you remember to put sigorder 1 at the end?
None.
no... I have sigorder 2...
I copied all animation straight from ghost, it worked for a while, but I don't know what I changed now it doesn't work....
None.
You might want to look at what sigorders do before using them. Also, some units have different spell cast animations for special purposes, like the battlecruiser doesnt even have "castspell" in it. Otherwise try using:
<spell animation>:
castspell
wait 1
goto <idle>
Its not fancy and the order sent after the spell isnt right (from what I remember, ur unit stops fighting after using the spell, and u have to order it to attack again). It should work until you find a nicer way.
You can try sigorder 1 like doodle said. Ugh...I remember reading some list of what all of the sigorders do, but that was at least a year ago.
None.
well... that's what I got to right now...
but I would surely like to know how to execute it correctly... where it auto attacks after the spell cast...
I know it is definately possible cause I have done it before... but yet no matter how hard i try, i can't find the problem...
None.

It's Sigorder 2, NOT 1. The Vulture using 1 for setting his Spider Mines.
For your iscript, try recompiling everything. You might have accidentally left something like "Merge with default" checked when you were compiling a single script with your iscript.bin.
