OS X Web Browser - Firefox or Safari?

I'm a fan of Firefox, but was introduced to Safari when I got my Mac. Now I can't decided between the two. Safari has a few more features on the Mac then Firefox does, though I like the layout for Firefox. It also seems like Firefox is faster? Though this could be my mind playing tricks. Which is better for OS X and why?

Camino. That's the Firefox of Mac. It's sexy.

The sword and the faith

Never used a mac or safari, and never would, even at gunpoint.
I'd say go with Fx.

I understand that you're trying to pick between the two, but Camino was created by the people who made Firefox specifically to be used on Mac.

Ex is just an ignorant closed-minded tool.

I prefer firefox for a number of reasons.
1. Addons. I love them. Adblock plus is great, etc.
2. The looks. It looks cooler.
3. Search bar customization
4. Smarter "functions". I don't really know how to describe it, but firefox seems to be more adept at sensing what you are doing, such as dragging URLs into blank tabs, things like that.
5. Saving passwords and login info, and Master Password. So much easier than Safari
6. Clear cache, recently visited pages, etc. (good for pr0n, etc)

For me, safari is a bit faster starting up, but browsing speed seems to be about the same. I use it if I want to quickly check if I recognize an actor in a movie or w/e, but when I am actually browsing the web, I use FireFox every time.

this too shall pass

Safari can do these...

I use Safari all day every day (on my windowspc). IMO I think safari looks alot more professional.

macs are overpriced and don't display animated gifs correctly.

In any browser war, you have to consider what you like the best. If you like speed, chrome is for you, but considering that the difference in 80 ms and 200 ms is 120 ms, you're not going to notice any difference in speed on any relatively new browser.

If you're a lazy idiot, you use IE 6 (sometimes 7). If you enjoy customizability, firefox. If you want a mix between the two, opera or safari are for you.

There's all sorts of browsers out there, and there is only one way to really know which one is for you: using it. Personally, firefox is the only browser that lets me fit the address, file/edit/view, and bookmarks on one toolbar, and has common javascript extensions. Opera is a close second, but won't let me move anything on the file/edit/view bar. Chrome has a much better status bar, but currently I don't know enough about it to use it properly, and it's light blue.

Just here for the activity... well not really

If the only choices are Safari or Firefox, then Firefox.

NOTE: Chrome doesn't work on Mac. Yet.

I always just use Safari, it loads fast and does everything I need to do. I don't use FireFox too much, just to check if my code works cross-browser. FireFox doesn't exactly support CSS actions. Lots of sites that play videos or games usually say it is only supported in FireFox. So I just use both, and whichever I feel like for my convenience. Right now I have Safari, FireFox, Opera, Camino, and Internet Explorer on my mac.
FireFox likes to check online for random shit by itself a lot. I get lots of "LIttle Snitch" popups every couple minutes.

Camino installs like 4 or more applications from the browser. "My Yahoo", "Google", and some other stuff. Safari has been found to be the browser that uses the most memory. Opera is found to take up the least memory.

I just use Safari for casual web browsing, and page hacking. Very simple. I just need to go to pages, and do shit. I use every other browser as-well to check if everything works properly when i do my web development and programming. Right now I just discovered Camino doesn't really support CSS actions My brother keeps saying Opera is the best browser for Mac. You can have a home page that loads instantly which displays as 9 or so pages that you can just click. A lot cooler than bookmarks.

css action:
Code
.myclass:hover
{
...
}

It's funny that everyone is just saying their favorite browser, even though they don't even use Macs. Especially when Hug A Zergling is asking which one works better on a mac. If you haven't used a mac before, and never want to, how the fuck do you know which one works better?

Once you select reset safari (to delete history, cache, etc) you can say bye-bye to those passwords.

I meant by clear cache, history, etc. is that you can have FireFox do this on program close. Very convenient, and great in case I forget to clear history.

I use "Reset Safari" once I'm done doing things I shouldn't be doing.
