I downloaded it and then ran the .exe but i get an error after selecting the Default profile. I edited the profile to incluce my starcraft directory as well as the three mpqs. The error i get is "Loading game data failed!"

Did you apply the changes? Another way to fix this problem is to create your own profile, then you can make it the way you want it to be.

Don't touch the mpqs. Just enter your sc directory.
It sounds like you made typo with your sc directory. pls double check.
since this thread is already up..... ive been told that using scmdraft causing unit pathing errors, such as, you try to have a unit run in a straight line, and it takes a path that seems abnormal and goes zig zag on some parts on its way there......im assuming this is a known issue, but is there any way around it?
I was also told this happens with starforge as well, but not X-tra editor.

Honestly I think this information is just nonsense.
Map editors have nothing to do with sc's internal pathing AIs. And we all know how poor it is.
The ability to use square terrain might mess with the pathing AI, but that's not a SCM Draft bug, it happens with every editor. In order to run, SCM Draft needs Broodat and Stardat, and optionally patch_rt, the default for these are in C:/Program Files/StarCraft but if your directory is somewhere else, you have to specify it by editing the profile and changing your StarCraft path.
