Quick question, can i give Archon Warp and Dark Archon Merge to other units? Specificly, can I make it so that High Templar can use Archon Warp with Dark Templar, and can I make it so that three different units have Dark Archon Merge and that any two of them can Merge into a non-spellcasting unit?

I meant with .exe edits and heavy wizardry like that. I know I'd have to use FG to edit the button set.

Anyway, I had an idea for a workaround. I'd disguise Tassadar as a normal HT and the DT hero as a normal DT, then set the Gateway to build Tassadars and hero DTs. Then, I'd give Tassadars and the hero DTs the ability to turn into normal HTs, which have all their abilities (even the Move order and stuff like that) removed, except Archon Warp. Then I change the normal Dark Templar to be identical to the Archon unit, and use a trigger to replace any Archons with DTs. The ene result is that if a player has two Templar, either High or Dark, selected, he can do Archon Warp and have Archons merge into Dark Archons. The problem is that he will have to press two buttons to Warp them and will have to re-select the Archon after it Merges. Would this be okay, or would it be fail?

Actually, I've managed in my GrayCraft mod to unify High/Dark Templar's Archon Merge, by allowing High Templars use Archon Warp which resulted in Dark Archon (you may select one high templar and one dark templar in order to create archon, however, in larger groups, they tend to create pair of the same type). It involved HEAVY USE of Firegraft, i had also give permament cloak for high templar to avoid energy/cloak problems with created Archon (i.e. no energy regain). Another Archon Meld ability became unused.

I've didn't messed with Toss heroes, you may expect some problems there, lots of crashes and so on ;)

You might be able to do that with an epicly modded Consume spell...

You can upload it to the DLDB, or make a thread and attach the files for the mod.
