Its been a while since ive done anything starcraft related but i won the last competion by default so im incharge of this round.

Quote
Topic: Factory/Industrial

This topic shouldnt be too limiting and not too broad. It can be anything to a building under construction to a protoss shipyard. I dont mind if you use units or sprites, what ever needs to be done to make it look nice, but remember that this is a TERRAIN compition.

Please do not submit anything that has been previously made... obviously it gives you an unfair advantage if you have a piece already.

I will also be giving prize money to the winer:
Quote
Current Prize: 350 minerals + chooses next topic
I dont need any of my minerals so im giving them all away as some extra incentive.

All pictures must be posted by December 1.

Good luck, hope you guys will give it a shot.

You liek totally stole my inside of a terran building theme, le gay.

It's pretty cool, It lacks vultures though.

Also no human beings are present... Which is kinda unrealistic.

the conveyer belt is cool, but its kind of blocky. Wouldnt a factory be more realistic without people? especially more in the future :)

Just here for the pie

That would be a cool ambience if it were used in an actual map if the conveyor belt worked and moved (I'm not sure if that's even possible, but whatever.).

I was originally going to make something more like what Fwop made, but I admit that your inside of a refinery inspired me to change my idea slightly to be the inside of a factory. I was going to put a civilian next to the control panel where the flashing red light is, but I forgot. Oh well.

Fwop, that is awesome. The pieces of metal with the fire is just ingenious. But there isn't a lot of actual extended terrain.

Rory, do you mind of I change mine a little?

Ya its kind of a delema with updating, cause if people copy other submissions thats not cool, and then you can look at other peoples and try to make yours better... which i think is the point of a competition. So sure, but dont just copy other people's stuff. Honor system FTW!

Just at the end each person only gets one submission

Lol, that was an idea for Mystic Islands RPG, when you buy a tank, the SCVs actually grab the top and bottom of the tank, and walk them into the next room :P

Heh, no I made this specifically for the contest.

Well making good terrain isn't dependent on the amount of extended terrain. Terrain can consist of doodads, sprites, units, triggers, terrain itself, and others. The problem I'm seeing in the terrain forum is that too many people are focusing on using extended terrain. I just use it when it's convenient or there is no other way.

That's why I tried to avoid looking at the other submissions before I worked on mine. It didn't work out too well.
