Today I woke up at 4 PM, I don't know why, but anyways I haven't eaten since then. So 30 minutes ago I went out to Wendy's and bought 4 double stacks (100 Grams of Protein / Yes, Bulking) and then I headed off to the store right next to my apartment. Anyways I picked up 2 candies, Sour Straws, and 1 liter of Coca Cola. The 1 liter cost $2.00 and the 2 liter cost $2.25, but I don't know what I was thinking. Anyways I go up to the cashier line and I pay for it. When I took out my cash I spread it and the store owner got pissed cause he snatched it from my hands but missed $1. Anyways I get my change and I just walk out without getting the things I bought. The store owner yells at me "EXCUSE ME!" and I just look up all confused and retarded and I noticed I didn't get my things. I feel embarassed and I'm never going there again! Although I've been going there for the last 12 years and it is right next to my apartment.

You'll get over it. You'll go back someday.

I have a friend who's of middle eastern descent. We took an acting class together last year, and on one day we were shooting our little scenes outside. We didn't know each other that well at the time. He was the only one who brought a backpack. After an hour or so, he said he was going to drop his backpack off at the department's office. I said "I hope they don't think it's a bomb." I laughed for about 1 second and then I realized the implication. He and the other two guys standing nearby fell silent. He walked off to drop off his backpack. I felt HORRIBLE. I've used that joke before in other contexts with no problem. Like if my mom leaves her suitcase to go to the bathroom or something, I've said it then and it was funny. But I wasn't thinking that day. He never brought it up, and I never apologized, but he and I are actually pretty good friends now and have worked on a couple of movies together. But still... I DREADED seeing him again a few times after that slip of the tongue.

Lol, silly Doodan. You do acting?

I did it for that class. I want to direct, but I wanted to know how it feels to be in the actors' shoes.

Reminds me of NeonightmareX wanting to get a shirt that says "Im da bomb". It's funny because he's Lebanese and looks really middle eastern.

LOL. And echo, I did that all the time, except I usually didn't go back out of embarrassment.

OK, get this one. I was in the local 7/11, and I wanted some Mountain Dew: Code Red. So, I fill up my massive Big Gulp cup and head over to the counter. I go to set it down and I guess I placed it on the cash register's wire or something, but... It falls over! RED MOUNTAIN DEW EVERYWHERE! The cashier is just staring in horror. I threw down a 10 dollar bill (more than enough for the drink) grabbed the cup and ran out... I was so embarased I didn't go back for months. Nothing ever came from it. But... Who knows what would have happened if I stayed, the cashier was a badass who on a later date beat the hell out of a would be robber with the robber's own hammer. Brutal. No joke.

Just Here For The Pie

One time I woke up nice and early in the morning and was getting my coffee when I released that we were out.
So I go out to the 7/11 to pick up a coffee there. I get there, fill up a nice tall cup, and get to the register to discover I did not have my wallet on me...

I stared at the clerk with a dumb expression on my face.
It was one of those moments were you can just see somebody saying "Awkward" in one of those annoying voices it is said in.
Needless to say, I go there all the time.

LOL! I hate when that happens! Same thing happened to me at a Pizza store where this Mexican guy who really hates me works there. I ate the pizza already because you are supose to pay afterwards and I forgot my wallet.

Lol Doodan, so awkward.

So I'm only 16 (15 at the time) but I dropped out of high school freshman year because I wanted to become a professional violinist (as of a few months ago am rethinking that, but that doesn't matter for this story) so I have been going to community college so I'll end up graduating with my class with a GED instead of a diploma, and I could just go way slower and have much more time to practice. So last semester in my Spanish class there was this (really hot, apart from a lot of the other girls at my school..) girl that I sort of tried to stop myself from eyeing, but I guess she picked up on it because during break we started talking and we got along really well (this girl was at least drinking age). So the next few classes during break we would always chat. Then one day we were both really tired. I noticed she just had her eyes closed while the teacher was talking. We sort of rambled outside for break and I sat down at the bench and she laid down on the bench with her head on my leg (I was surprised, but I'm not sure why I didn't stop it) And then we rambled back inside after break. She still looked like she was asleep. During lecture one of the questions the teacher said I sort of challenged, because what he said was kind of stupid. I'm not really sure why I challenged it, but whatever. It was something like "Well not all of us want to become teachers, you know." And he said "How do you know you don't want to be a teacher? How old are you?" So I say, "15." and there's a mutual gasp coming from all the students and from across the room I hear this "WHAT!!!"

I talked to her afterwards and she said she just.. thought I was older.

This type of thing has happened many times before but this was the farthest I've ever let it go.

So you went to college when you were 15? Wow! So lucky, I wish they allowed that in NYC.

Oct 5 2008, 7:10 am Madroc Post #15

:) yeah I just needed my parents' consent. I thought you could do that anywhere. It's much bettr than going to high school. Now that I'm not really doing much violin anymore, after this semester which I'm taking 17 credits I could just take a years off of school and just play video games and still be cool :D

I'll probably go off to college next fall though.

The only think they say you miss out on is the social aspect, so honestly I'm not quite as good at it as many of my college friends, I'm only pretty good at it. It's not like I'm not learning social things from my college friends too though. Almost all the kids I know who are my age are at the same level that I am so I'm not worried about it.

I would have been much much weirder if I had been homeschooled all my life :D

PS: actually I started taking college courses in 7th grade in middle school (when I was 12?) in addition to regular school! (just one class at a time back then though, usually music classes)

Oct 5 2008, 7:16 am Echo Post #16

Yeah, community colleges and city colleges are harder in social lives. So you have 17 credits right now? You could probably finish college before you're 18 and become a CEO lol.

Oct 5 2008, 7:24 am Madroc Post #17

Yeah I think I turned out pretty well. Thinking on it, I think I'm just a little bit better at socializing than my fellow classmates of 2010! :bleh: I like people well enough, anyways. At least I've got some friends in college, which is really hard to do when you are 5 years younger than the average student. I just fool them into thinking I'm older

No I will have about 60 after this semester. I'm taking 17 this semester :D

CEO here I come. 2 months away, lol.

Oct 5 2008, 7:31 am Echo Post #18

Holy shit! How are you taking 17? Tell me your schedule. I'm taking 14 right now and I'm pretty packed. I bet you have a lot of school work/home work.

None.

Oct 5 2008, 7:42 am Madroc Post #19

Well lemme just make sure we're on the same page. Some community colleges make credits less than others. My college takes 64 credits I think to get your AA degree, so at this rate I would get it in a total of 2 years I think? I actually saw a guy who took 44 in two semesters. Crazy..

But yeah it is actually pretty tough, and to add on top of that the pressure of getting straight A's if I can. I honestly only have time for school, a little violin and this one card game that I like to play with friends, and a little TV, oh and this other thing I'm doing for my college resume, but that's about it. It's pretty hard. Lately I haven't been getting enough sleep.

It's definitely doable though. The fact that I don't have that many friends or a girlfriend really really helps. This is the first semester I've tried taking more than 13 credits, but that time before was mostly filled in trying to get 3-4 hours of practicing in a day. I've never really been that interested in true friends, I figure I'm going to be off to college in a year or two anyways so why waste the time, ya know? Don't get me wrong, I've been told I'm nice to be around and I like people. I might be wrong somehow about not wanting too many true friends but logically it makes sense as far as I can see. I'll try to make some true friends in the university though, I think.

So like Monday wednesday thursday I have school in the morning and the rest is occupied doing things that need to get done, mostly homework. On tuesday I am at school for literally 10 hours so I can't get anything done that day. I am also taking a 3 credit online class that luckily only takes a few hours a week to get an A, since it's a music class (not that music classes are easy, it's just that I've been doing violin for almost 13 years). Friday-Sunday are occupied playing that card game and violin and homework.

It's not easy and I think next semester I'd like to take a few less credits just so I can enjoy life a little more. Like I want to do Mafia here at SEN but I just don't think I'd have the time.

And also, are you at a University level or community college level? Community college level is a bit easier.
