Does anyone know about any maps with the Iceworld tileset that have watefalls in them? I want something that I can try to recreate and model my terrain after for a map.

hmm I've never seen one thats a good idea though, you better hope people post one before Esponeo closes this topic.

The nice part about waterfalls is they use some strange cliff water. Unfortunately, the new tilesets in Brood War don't have this see through water. I suggest using water doodad 7. It's got some see through water. The water is probably frozen, so make sure you use the ice>water doodad liberally as well. There's some in the hall of fame. With a little bit of effort and a lot of sprites, you should be able to make a decent looking waterfall.

Just suck it up.

I actually tried to create a frozen waterfall by using the landslide doodad but it was far too blocky no matter what unless you use Sprites. But a standard waterfall, anyone can have that can easily be done.

I know Wilhelm posted a map on falks website that has something kinda like a waterfall. It has a marine walking through frozen water cascades. Not the conventional style but you can take a look at it

if u want it moving u could always use sprites. But they would just go away like a second after starting the game, not like you see it on the editor.

Often to make waterfalls look more realistic, people will use triggers to in-game create hallucination explosions at the bottom, and they also will sometimes have observers moving down the waterfall, to create a water-blur.

I believe it actually WAS done, using the ice terrain and doodads. It wasn't perfect, but I am fairly sure it was done.
Waterfalls are old business, but it's not like they don't happen (so don't get pissy if someone actually finishes an RPG with waterfalls in it).
It's just.. how many waterfalls do you see daily?
