so I understand that CP dropships are always commanded to do stuff you don't want them to do... but I didn't know I can't bind them to a single location with triggers. I thought you could, but here's my case:

Always

pppp (preserve trigger)
Move Terran Dropship for Player 8 (cp) from pocket1 to pocket1
Move Terran Dropship for Player 8 (cp) from pocket2 to pocket2
Move Terran Dropship for Player 8 (cp) from pocket3 to pocket3
Move Terran Dropship for Player 8 (cp) from pocket4 to pocket4

And maybe this has something to do with it

Always

Enter closet bunker at pocket1
Enter closet bunker at pocket2
Enter closet bunker at pocket3
Enter closet bunker at pocket4

What ends up happening is that 1 is bound, but doesnt pick up any units, a couple others go into the map and pick shit up.

What should be done?

Also, this is weird: sometimes when I do somethings in staredit and I try to save, it says "Something bad has happened" and basically if I save it, I'm screwed because the map will always come up like that after, if I don't, I lose my progress. This will occur sometimes when I change a certain comment or preserve a trigger. The weird part is that if I did other things first and save, then later go back and change the comment or preserve the trigger, it'll be fine. Although I keep a backup, sometimes I feel like I'm stepping on eggshells and repetitive loss of progress is kinda like ED, no?

ᴄʜᴇᴇsᴇ ɪᴛ!

SCMDraft saves a backup, forgot to tell you in that other thread.

If you run an AI, the dropships will go around and pick things up, they might do that even if you DONT run an AI. You could try using inverted locations to keep them in a specific spot (looks like that's what you're trying to do anyway. It also would seem you're not using hyper triggers, which means they can escape, since you're only moving the dropship from pocket1 to pocket1. If the dropship gets out, he's never coming back.

Use "Enter Transport" ai instead of enter bunker

Make the pocket locations large enough and you don't need hypers.

Oh, actually, I just forgot to include that i am using hyper triggers as well as "Enter Transport", just kinda typed them wrong. Also, no AI is running other than alliance.

What I wanted to do was use dropships as an item inventory system, but I wanted the dropships to hold units and be ready to be given away to a human player. What I eventually ended up doing is just setting it to another computer and it worked... I can't explain well, here's kind of what I did

4 spider mines are laid in a location (everything nearby, including mines invince), each representing a player
for every spider mine, the game will create the 5 units I will use as "items" as well as the dropship, enter transport, and get teleported to a location once all units have been picked up. The location holds the dropships there. Once ethe cycle has been done, a spider mine is deleted and this repeats till there are none left. So I ended up with 4 loaded dropships and for some reason they're not escaping the location this time...

In the case of giving the selection system to the computers for periods of time, I would recommend using a bunker selection system rather than a dropship one, since computers have too many annoying AIs for dropships, that or just always give it to the player rather than the computer.

Hm, didn't think about using bunkers. But I need 5 units, perhaps even up to all 8, depending on what happens later because I haven't quite thought that far.. I think... Anyway, the way things are set up, you get the dropships later because it's a recycled space and I didn't to want to just have a bunch of dropships there.

Basically, the DS's are "item pouches" and you receive them from a storeclerk later. I guess for the sake of localization. Thanks for the bunker Idea though.
