Every year, 2 million dogs and cats are sadisitically skinned alive in China. Help put a stop to it by signing their petition and maybe even signing up ($10 fee).

Here's the web site. I watched half of a video that showed two dogs beging hung upside down and sadly... had their fur taken off by frikken chinese men with knives. Please help out, sign their petition, do something. I litterally started tearing watching the video, I hope you all feel the same.

Remember that as you enjoy your delicious chicken, beef, and pork dinners. Remember that should you go to the hospital and receive life saving drugs that were first tested on animals.

Or you could stop all that and become a vegan. But remember, every time you eat an apple, you are eating dozens of baby trees.

The simple fact is, something has to die so that you can live another day. If the end result is the same, why torture yourself with the exact nature of the death?

I'm not asking anybody to DO anything. I posted this topic to create awareness. There is absolutely No reason these dogs need to be kept alive and skinned. As for me, I personally wouldn't mind travelleling to China and eraticating their camps, but that is probably just my imagination and action movie experiences talking. I'm probably going to donate 10 dollars simply because I care.

How many poor little Chinese children depend on their fathers' skinning jobs so that they can eat? See the problem with trying to empathize with everyone and everything?

Ten dollars just to sign? Sounds a bit expensive to me. I think if you had posted a link direction us article on the subject (and a cheaper petition ), maybe we could've seen what they're doing a little better.

Awareness! People already know stuff like this happens everyday. I don't see why people should take the iniative to try and stop the inevitable. Wait. This reminds me of a topic a while ago with the same message.

Holy crap guys. This was supposed to be a heartfelt, emotional topic (well it is emotion to a certain degree...), not some "well yo eat meat, don't you?" "you own a leather sofa right?". The fact that they leave the animals to suffer this cruelty is what disturbs me. If they killed the animal with a bullet to their head, I wouldn't mind so much. But the fact that they only make a few million US dollars of this sort of thing, really screws my bolts. There is no reason they even need to leave the dog to suffer such excruciating pain just for their fur (which looks so much better on the animal than it does a coat). Anyways, guys, I just wanted to tell you all that there are folks out there with a much smaller heart than the lowest of the low. These Chinese folk could be making a better profit doing other things than skinning live dogs and cats.

By the way, has anyone watched any of the videos on that site? I friggen started crying! Yes, the mighty Mentalpatient broke down and started tearing! Believe it or not.

Yes, the death of these animals benefits humanity, but when it comes to skinning live animals... that's where I seriously have a problem.

What if your choices were between starving to death or skinning animals? Your "morals" would evaporate very quickly.

I guess the reason I'm throwing cold water on you is because I too came to a point where I realized my technologically advanced lifestyle was costing many plants, animals, and poor third-world workers their lives, and it made me sad. I even saw that EXACT video three or four years ago. But eventually, I decided I liked my chicken dinners, leather jackets, etc., too much to give them up. We are at the top of the socio-economic food chain. We were born into it, and we've come to depend on it and take it for granted. It's just part of life. If you truly object so much, then go starve to death in the woods. You can die in peace knowing that you never caused another living thing harm, and that your body will soon serve as food to other organisms.

There is no true "right" and "wrong", it's just survival. It's threats to our survival or those we empathize with that cause outrage.

The Japanese people are just as worse. They take dolphin and shark fins, and throw them back into the ocean to die. They also go whale pooning. Too bad America can't do anything to stop the Chinese because we would be losing our export and import partner. The good side of this is that it's not everywhere else in the World, otherwise those animals would be endangered.

I guess it's to each his own opinion. I, personally have so much empathy for those animals, that I feel an obligation to do something. I've lived with dogs all my life, and when I heard about this, I really took it personally. To those who don't care... well so be it. That's you, who you are and how your brain tells you to feel. Meh. As long as I got the word out to those few who didn't know this thing was going on.

As for me, I'm deciding on handing out a few flyers with the oganization's web site and information. Maybe I'll leave a few sticky notes on the bus, hey, you never know who might be willing to help out.

Also, Dogs? Seriously China? They don't have much fur on them. You have much furrier animals, such as the giant panda that are probably easier to skin too.
