Can we not edit our posts?
Anywho, Falkner, I could say quite a bit about your
non sequitur logic and slipery slope claims, but sadly I'm not in a debating mood. Carry on.
Addendum about editing: Okay, the edit icon has finally appeared for me. It did not seem to show for my first few posts. I suppose the icon wasn't downloading, unless there is some kind of restriction on new accounts from editing until they reach a certain post count.

I feel the worst Sin is to not be sorry for something you've done wrong. Repent or otherwise.
I don't care what a mans done before, as long as he is truly sorry for his actions, and can prove it [the hard part] I'll accept that.
None.

Define 'wrong'.
Morally reprehensible based on the act performer's place in their society, and which society it is.
Define 'pedant'.
None.

Your definition of wrong doesn't answer anything. I'm not a pedant. I was trying to get at what basis of morality he supposedly uses to determine 'right' and 'wrong'. I think his opinion of 'the worst sin' is extremely shallow.

Yes it does. That's exactly what wrong is. It's wrong for a senator to have sex with a child, and it's wrong for a native Australian to take a picture of Uluru.
None.

Dear Dapperdan:
Define "define". =oP
Dear everyone:
I'm seeing way too many of those
define questions around here. It's like lazy arguing. Repeated enough, it just becomes ridiculous and tiresome.

I've done it like 2 times.
None.
Everyone's just trying to be like me in asking those questions.

Dear Dapperdan:
I edited my prior post for clarity. Wasn't trying to single you out, you're just the most recent culprit. =oP

It happens because everyone thinks they're a smartass and tries to one-up everyone by saying they don't know what 'wrong' is. It's common sense, get over it.

Most of you guys just completely miss the point. If he says "I feel the worst Sin is to not be sorry for something you've done wrong", then there's a clear ambiguity to the word 'wrong' that should be clarified. Accepted by who as wrong? Maybe the person doesn't think what they did is wrong. If so, then the system of morality you are using to determine what 'right' and what 'wrong' is should be defined.
Some people might say that lying is 'wrong' under any circumstances, while others may hold the opinion that it can be used for good; white lie. Latter type of person lies. Former type of person tells the other they should be sorry for what they have done. The other person disagrees..... who has authority? Just an example, I think you get the idea.
I'm out of time now maybe I'll add to this point later.

I believe the words people are searching for are
"moral relativism" and
"value judgement".
In any case, it's not the issue of
defining a word someone uses that I brought up, rather the repetitious simplicity of the question's structure. Stop baiting and put more of your thoughts behind that one-liner. Explain why you have to ask in the first place. It helps lessen the feeling of hostility, yo.

Agreed. Cutting off a discussion to ask for a word definition that
any easy source can tell is becoming unmistakably rude.
We're not politicians or lawyers here. This topic is not meant to dictate diplomacy terms or sentence someone to death. There should be no major confusion about the English language here. And if there is, specify the confusion rather than interrupt the topic to ask for a definition.
Example:
Define "morally reprehensible" and "society"
What confusion do you have about the definition of "society" that prevents you from understanding his point? Or do you have your own definition that makes your information conflict with his? And how so?
Try that instead.

Crack a dictionary.
The dictionary doesn't tell me anything. You're just avoiding the question.

I have specified the confusion. I could specify more, but you should already have your hands full, if you tried to
clear up the confusion at least.

The point is why society?
