Oh no. Take me to one second before the big bang, creation, whatever you want where time is theorized to be equal zero so I can see something pre-existing.

We're talking about a Universe that has always existed, not a Universe that started with a big bang. There is no absolute 0 on that graph.

"Time" doesn't exist then, lulz.

Actually, space-time was created by the big bang according to the current theory. There is no "time" prior to the big bang.

Quotenot a Universe that started with a big bang.

Some say time existed before the big bang.

But anyways, doesn't matter. Take me there ;o

Um, how am I supposed to try to prove something, if all my stuff keep on getting edited? :-(

(yeah posting that number was really stupid)

My intended point was that you could never reach 0 if you divide something by 2. Thus, infinite.

QuoteTake me there ;o

Heres your choices:

We're talking about a Universe without a Big Bang.

Want to go to where it would be in a Universe with one? Set n = 13.7 billion, and away you go. Point A.

No. x/2^n where limit of n->infinity and x = some finite number is 0. However, in physical terms, there is a "smallest" value. Anything smaller than planck's length makes no physical sense.

Sypon. stfu. Talk about a finite universe. Or one with finite time.

I'm deleting your stuff because not only is it spam, it's wrong, and irrelevant to what we're talking about. If the conversation shifts to Zeno's Paradoxes, we'll give you a holler.

What are you talking about? IP wanted someone to prove to him what infinity was. I did just that.

QuoteFine

Prove it.

We were never talking about a finite Universe. The whole thing started with Devilesk saying "[If God can always exist, so can the Universe.]" and IP started trying to disprove that an infinite timeline could work, when it very obviously could.

I disagree then. If anything, for the lulz. Present your arguments.

(yay, ip has someone helping him now. :P )

I never asked what infinity was. I wanted to physically see a point somewhere out in infinity, before theoretical history, to see time existed.
And dividing crap by 2 has no irrelevance.

I already did, and they've yet to be logically refuted. SEE GRAPH A FOR DETAILS.

I misunderstood what you were asking.

Syphon's graph does just that.
