And by the way, conceptual terrain is like this:
I typically think of conceptual terrain to be something entirely original, and existing as an entire concept, rather than simply a new blend, or addition to regular terrain. It needs to give an impression of a unique place.
Examples:
Mine
qPirateKing's

Those are both either sprite infested or blocky to the extreme...

Are you submitting that one that is yours or no? I guess that is a good example of originality, but a new blend is always good. Your blend kind of reminds me of an air vent of some sort.

The maps don't affect your rank, but they're for open source for novice terrainers to learn. For instance: Crescent Dyne terrain only, or Falk's compilation. Even though Crescent yne is generally used by expert terrainers too :D .

Lol, the CD terrain is IN my compilation :P

This isn't for the ladder, but check it out!

I knew that  .

Interesting, but blocky, and I'm not sure if you coul fix the blockiness without sprites, but then it would look ugly.

Second attempt :P

Trust me, I don't plan on submitting anything like this, I like entire landscapes, not little concepts.

Glad to see that this is being continued. I see some of my blends in so much of this material. The overall quality is really improoving. The real test will be when you guys put these skills to work on SC II maps... See you then.
