No arguments atleast you gave them a try.I have a question though maybe someone can answer.
In the early and late 90's maybe even 80's people like metallica,ac/dc,korn etc.. would be in the cat. of hard rock. Now they are all in nu metal(except ac/dc).

What the fuck is with people making every involved with metal <.<?I mean come on extreme goth metal,I am a fan of goth rock and have goth friends and still all extreme goth metal seems to me is goth rock with more of lets beat? Then you have goth metal?Ok what is the difference please clear me up :(.

Then you got nu metal bands like slipknot, korn, and disturbed.I am just wondering why does everything have to deal with metal now when all these bands have nothing to deal with metal.Well ok disturbed has tried but, anyways my point remains valid.

OVERWATCH STATUS GO

Actually Metallica, Korn, etc. were considered metal back then. Hell, Korn is considered the one band that gave a rebirth to metal in the early 90's, after Metallica's fame started to fade. Most pioneers of metal see Slipknot as the future of metal.

You should actually try to find a documentary called "Heavy Metal." It's a great oral history of metal as told by members of bands like Twisted Sister, Black Sabbath, Anthrax, Korn, Metallica, Kiss, etc. I saw it about a year ago and it really cleared some things up about that sort of sub-categorization.

I think THE best documentary on metal is this one called Metal: A headbangers journey.
Its in like 10 parts on youtube, heres the first
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-PhYeQ0P2c&feature=related
I think maybe the genre of metal has a wider range than you think, that movie puts things into perspective.

Oh yeah, I've seen that one as well. It's great.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0819722/ is the one I was talking about, I forgot what the full title was but it's called "Heavy Metal: Louder Than Life."

"In Europe, especially Germany and Scandinavia, metal continues to be broadly popular. Acts such as the thrash shredding group The Haunted, melodic death metal bands In Flames, Kalmah, and Children of Bodom, symphonic extreme metal acts Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth, and power metal group HammerFall have been very successful in recent years."
From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_metal_music#Recent_trends:_mid-2000s.

That's not to say Wikipedia is the greatest source of information, but I'd believe this opinion. :/

Well if you also read what the wiki has said about cradle of filth some of its genres are extreme goth metal.Which to me would be the only hard goth rock that would go into the metal selection.

NudeRaider -- PSA: ASUS apparently decided their RMA department needs to "become profitable" and for a while now outright tries to scam customers. They were called out on it a year ago, promised to change, but didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY so my recommendation: Stop buying ASUS, and if you already have and need something RMA'd, make sure to not let them bully you into paying.
