Definites:
- Joining multiple clans
- Clan forums for major clans (if wanted)
- Listing DLDB files as clan material and as such, listed in your clan page

Relatively ancient and inactive

Easy way to delete clans, giving access to non-administrative members (a side-job for some moderator, for example), clan creation requirement, seperate meeting messages that allow for in-clan versions of map nights or whatever else. In-clan news support..

It would be cool if there was an automatic delete on clans made that can't get more than 3 members within two weeks (variables could be w/e you want). What exactly would count as a major clan?

Would there be a max amount of clans someone could be in? 2? 3? Also, there needs to be a way to remove oneself from a clan easily.

DTBK's harsh stuff was like 12 ACTIVE sen members and at least 20 clan members.
Clan cretaions every week
3 post per week (DTBK likes spam :P)

Or something like it. I'm probably overreacting :P

Totally. It was more like five active members, a map/minor mod a month (or a major mod per three months), and something like three posts a week. The last is simply because if you aren't posting in your forum, it isn't exactly worth the space.

Once (U) asploded I thought [MM] was the only worthwhile clan on SEN anyway.

Well thanks for all of the ideas. Here's what I'll do:

- Joining multiple clans that support multiple clanning. (clan options)
- Clan forums for major clans. (active members, contributions, member posts, etc..)
- Listing DLDB files as clan material and as such, listed in your clan page(s).
- Clan deletion. If a major clan it will be by vote initiated by leader.
- Multiple leaders (One Admin so no bs'ing)
- Clan events page.
- Clan news.
- SEN Clan fee. (Taxes? lol)
- Automatic notifications given to leaders to warn failure to keep requirements.
- Automatic deletion of inactive clans after two weeks of overall inactivity.
- Custom clan groups.
- Clan production page.
- Easy clan administration.
- Automatic demote/delete members after certain amount of inactivity; set by leader. (Can be disabled)
- Instant resignation from a clan.
- No maximum of multple clan membership. It is up to the leader to decide if the member is contributing towards the clan as much as the member is required to.
- Custom clan information pages. (clan rules, clan history, funny member storys, etc...)
- Clan join request.

If no active leaders for a month delete clan ???

Since this site is directed towards map making and modding, there will be a requirement for map/mod contributions.

The active member count of the clan will determine the amount of posts needed on the forums overall per week. Since some members are just asked by the clan to register on SEN so that they can be displayed in the memberlist. Or just have an option to add a list of members who are not registered on SEN to the clan member list.

Anything else you think I should include. Or omit?

Clan Currency
Admin can define the name of currency (or currencies?) and different methods of achieving them (and the ratio)
For example.
For a post you get minerals, however if you are in clan X, you can also receive x amount of FooFoo points (FooFoo being the currencies name defined by admin, x being the number of points earned * ratio)
Or posting in the DLDB could earn you say 100 FooFoo points.

Clan Currency cont'd
Clan currency could be used for a number of things. Some clans rank based upon points, this could accurately record their points and automatically rank them. Clan Currency could also be used for Clan based privelages (Clan Store or something?)
Clan Currency could also may be used for bonus minerals
Example:
Code
Amount = Amount / Ratio;

Amount - 100;
Minerals ++;
}

displayTextMessage("Not enough points!");
}


Clan should also have customizable ranks which can be linked to currency or manually setting users rank or "Days In Clan (Known)" (note the known was only there to make a funny acronym)

Clan should have a private shoutbox / PM system (mass PM with a click)

Clan should have a recruitment status (requirements: (post counts / maps or mods submitted / reviews written), open:(all people may join) closed: (no longer accepting members))

I like FooFoos. Sounds Fooey. Lol, but really, why not use Vespene Gas for the major clans, and certain "point values" with leaderboards to see which clan owns? hehehe.
